In every wrestling promotion, the Grand Slam Championship honor is one of the most prestigious honors ever, because it involves winning every relevant championship in existence. Out of all of the promotions, World Wrestling Entertainment is the only one that has Grand Slam Championships for the men and the women, and regarding the latter, the Women's Grand Slam (established in 2019) consists of the Raw Women's Championship (now known as the Women's World Championship), the SmackDown Women's Championship (now known as the WWE Women's Championship), the NXT Women's Championship, and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

Six women have completed the Grand Slam, with Bayley becoming the first to do so, winning the SmackDown Women's Championship on May 19, 2019 to complete the Grand Slam. Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Rhea Ripley joined the club, with Rhea needing only 1200 days to capture all of the titles. The sixth and latest member of the Grand Slam club is Becky Lynch, and her road was quite a long and grueling one. Let's take a look, shall we?

SmackDown Women's Championship

Becky Lynch was the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion

When the Brand Extension returned in 2016, that left SmackDown without a Women's Championship or a Tag Team Championship to call their own. That was remedied quickly, and regarding the former, a six-pack challenge was set for the Backlash event to crown the first-ever SmackDown Women's Champion. At the event on September 11, 2016, Becky Lynch defeated Nikki Bella, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Naomi to become the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion, which was her first championship in WWE. Becky held the blue belt four times, including her memorable "Becky Two Belts" run after winning both titles at WrestleMania, and her heel turn at SummerSlam 2021 en route to defeating Bianca Belair for the title in 26 seconds.

Raw Women's Championship

The "Becky Two Belts" victory marked Becky Lynch's first Raw Women's Championship victory

Speaking of "Becky Two Belts," that was quite the quest. It began with Becky entering the Women's Royal Rumble Match as a replacement in 2019, and going on to win the whole thing. However, Becky was in danger of being out of the match altogether; she was set to challenge Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship, but Becky's refusal to check her knee injury resulted in Lynch being suspended when she physically stood up to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, while Charlotte Flair would replace her as Ronda's opponent. Ronda demanded that Becky be reinstated, but Becky still had to fight for her title opportunity against Charlotte at Fastlane. Becky ended up winning via disqualification after she was attacked by an evil Ronda during the match, and after Charlotte won the blue belt, the match became winner take all and main evented WrestleMania 35. Becky defeated both Charlotte and Ronda to win both belts, with the victory marking her first time holding the Raw Women's Championship.

Becky held the red belt for just over a year, and it came to an end on April 15, 2020, when she kicked off that night's Raw by inviting Asuka to the ring and revealing that the Money In the Bank ladder match she won was actually for the Raw Women's Championship, with Becky relinquishing the title beforehand due to her real-life pregnancy. She held the red belt one more time after the 2021 Draft forced her and Charlotte to swap titles, with that run coming during her year-long run as the evil "Big Time Becks."

Women's Tag Team Championship

Becky held the Women's Tag Team Championship with WWE Hall of Famer Lita

After Becky turned face, she ended up in a bitter feud with Bayley that spanned the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, with Bayley's Damage CTRL cohorts always getting in Becky's way. Becky would gain huge help in the form of WWE Hall of Famer Lita, who was antagonized by Becky a year prior, and that led to the dream team challenging Damage CTRL for the Women's Tag Team Championship, which Becky and Lita won on the February 27, 2023 episode of Raw, with some assistance from another Hall of Famer: Trish Stratus. This was Becky's first and (so far) only tag title run, and it wasn't a long one. The pair were set to defend the titles against Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan, only for Lita to be attacked backstage. Trish Stratus offered to replace Lita, but the pair lost the titles, and it was followed by Trish's heel turn and attack towards Becky (with Trish revealing that she attacked Lita prior to the match).

NXT Women's Championship

Becky's NXT Women's Championship victory completed the Grand Slam

One of the biggest crimes in women's wrestling was the fact that Becky Lynch never held the NXT Women's Championship. All of her fellow Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley) held the title at least once, but Becky never got that chance during her original run. Becoming the first SmackDown Women's Champion made up for that, but still, there's a void in Becky's accolades that would seemingly remain empty. And then, Tiffany Stratton opened her mouth.

After another title defense, Tiffany Stratton considered herself as the greatest NXT Women's Champion of all time, naming all of the past champions, as well as Becky Lynch--who was never champion. After Becky ended her feud with the evil Trish Stratus inside a steel cage at Payback, Tiffany approached Becky and "apologized" for naming her in her promo, using her "apology" to remind Becky that she never held the NXT Women's Championship. That led to the challenge being made, and both women were dead serious en route to their title encounter, which took place on the September 12, 2023 episode of NXT. The contest served as the main event, and it was credited as Tiffany's best match in WWE. I myself looked forward to this bout, because I knew what the result would be, and there it was: Becky Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton, filling the void, capturing the NXT Women's Championship, and becoming WWE's sixth Women's Grand Slam Champion.

Becky Lynch's road to becoming Grand Slam Champion was a long and grueling one. It took seven long years; in fact, Becky's NXT Women's Championship victory came seven years and one day after she became the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion. During that time, she became The Man, she became Big Time Becks, she danced with Hall of Famers, and she made all sorts of history. I was so elated when Becky won the NXT title, because this was long overdue. As a result, Becky Lynch now finds herself as part of a very prestigious club, one that has just a select number of members.
