The Nets could be in for an epic comeback! After Durant filed for a trade, almost everyone thought the Nets were done, their window for a championship was closed.

In 2019, the Nets didn't hesitate to sign Durant to a four-year Max deal after he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon. Irving and Durant felt Atkinson wasn't good enough, so the Nets went along with their wishes and fired Atkinson in favor of Nash. Durant and Irving wanted stronger teammates, so the Nets traded for Harden. Durant in the free agency market to recruit players around, the Nets for him to sign Mills, Griffin, Adelaide and other strong aid. Every now and then Irving creates something that causes headaches for the team, and for Durant's sake, the Nets put up with it.

The Nets treated Durant and Irving pretty well, only for Durant to request a trade because the Nets didn't give Irving a Max extension. Many fans don't think the Nets are worth it, and Durant's reputation is at rock bottom.

But the Nets didn't panic, and they readily agreed to find another home for Durant. But the Nets are also asking for one of the highest payoffs in Durant's history. Especially after the Jazz traded away Gobert for a bunch of first-round picks and a couple of decent players, the Nets were more confident.

According to Nets reporter Michael Scotto, the Nets' high price tag for Durant is not only because they want the highest return in history, but also because they haven't given up on next season and don't want to let the championship window close.

Michael Scotto says time will tell. Kobe Bryant wanted to leave the Lakers, but it didn't happen. Durant's trade isn't a sure thing. Deep down, the Nets want both Durant and Irving back to lead the team to a championship.

The Nets have Simmons, as well as T.J. Warren, Claxton, Seth Curry, Mills and Joe Harris, who will be healthy again next season. The Nets are one of the few teams in the league to have a Big Three. Not only do the Nets have a big three, but they're also deep and don't have compatibility issues like the Lakers did last season. Simmons passes and plays defense, Durant and Irving score, and Mills, Seth Curry and Joe Harris shoot all over the place.

The Nets weren't thrown into disarray by Durant's trade request, and they're still working on their offseason. Royce O 'Neal is here, T.J. Warren is here, Claxton and Mills are staying, and Howard is on his way. Us media reports that the Nets and Howard are interested in each other. NBA reporter Brandon Robinson reached out to Howard and asked if he would be interested in joining the Nets, to which Howard replied, "Yes, I would be interested. I would love that."

With Howard in and Durant staying, how good is the Nets?

Guards: Irving, Simmons, Seth Curry, Mills, Cameron Thomas, David Duke, Edmond Sumner;

Small forwards: Joe Harris, Royce O 'Neal, Edwards;

Power forwards: Durant, T.J. Warren;

Centers: Claxton, Howard, Sharpe.

This set of lineup, the Nets will virtual who? As long as Kyrie Irving and Simmons play well, the Nets are not empty. Having Bryant LEAVE THE TEAM AND STAY ON, LEADING THE LAKERS TO THREE FINALS AND TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS, WOULD BOOST THE NETS 'CONFIDENCE. The Nets are likely to pull off an epic comeback, and they seem to be doing it again!
