Ambrose asylum

Yes, I acknowledge how cringe that sub-title is but I don't care.

Even though my Undertaker vs Dean Ambrose WrestleMania article did not go viral in any way shape or form, it was still very well received by wrestling fans and non-wrestling fans alike. So I figured why not write another dream booking? This time, it will be a triple threat match between the members of the shield. And yes, we are headed back to the Ambrose Asylum.

I never understood why we didn't get more triple threat matches amongst the former members of The Shield. As a quick reminder at one point each one of these men were the WWE Champion. And they only had one championship match; July 24th, 2016 at battleground where Dean Ambrose retained the WWE championship.

Lead up

Granted we'd just had the "Ambrose Asylum gimmick" all of 2 months prior, in May that same year, at "Extreme Rules", I think narratively it would have fit to bring it back for this triple threat match. Since at this time with the brand split, it was 2 raw superstars vs 1 smackdown superstar. Shane could allow dean a champion's advantage. He gets to pick the match stipulation. So, hoping lightning will strike twice Dean chooses to bring Seth and Roman to the asylum.

During the match

I talked about this previously, I feel like there could have been a few more weapons in the Asylum. Of course the WWE will never be CZW, I'm not going to get things twisted. However a few chairs, tables, and even an old stop sign would be awesome to see in this match. Even though logic would dictate Roman and Dean would team up against Seth at first. I actually want to keep it as even as possible. There will be no mid match alliances, no interference from J&J security or the authority, a fair match with no clear sign as to who will win but of course plenty of drama and plenty of false finishes. I'd love to see this match reinforce each wrestler's strengths. Seth's high flying athleticism and craftiness, Roman's insane strength, and of course Dean's craziness and toughness. I could see Seth using the ropes and cage to jump off of and give enhanced attacks. Roman tossing both men around the cage and into the walls of the cage. Then of course Dean would be doing Dean and really tap into his old Jon Moxley days with all the weapons as well as his high dives from the very top of the cage.

Finish of the match

I know people are going to hate this. Even though I hate matches where all they do is spam finishers, Brock with suplex city. But I don't care, for this match this is one of the few times where I'm okay with them spamming finishers on each other. Endless spears from Roman, Seth giving both other men countless stomps and pedigrees, then of course Dean hitting both men with the dirty deeds. Since I am a huge Dean Ambrose fan and in real life he did win to retain his title I'll have him go over yet again. However I would love one, "distraction" before the final finish. Similar to back in the old days with Undertaker and his druids, I wouldn't mind if the lights went dark, the stadium starts playing sounds of Dean's laughter and then screams as if they're coming from a long hallway. Then as the lights come back on the ring becomes surrounded by fellow "patients" of the asylum. They would all be in straight jackets themselves or even in hospital gowns with the words "Ambrose Asylum" written on their backs. They'll be armed with some crazy weapons like batons, hand saws, rusty pipes, or even tin trays like they have at hospitals. They won't directly interfere in the match. And as for the "patients", you could end up calling some NXT guys and girls to fill these roles. Then as Seth is distracted, and Roman is on the ground. Dean gets one last slam for Seth into some thumbtacks and wins the match.
