In these times it's important to save money. What do I mean by save money? For example, say you get enough groceries for a week at Aldi's, you make a list the money you end up spending is 60.59. Minus 100.00 the money you have left keep it in an evelope. Here is an exercise I just learned that I found most affective trying to save money.

The things you will need are as follows:

- A fresh notebook

- calculator

- pen or pencil

- Bills and all of the wants you desire

Now the hard part calculating all of the expenses for the month and how much you make on a job.

It is important that you calculate all of the jobs you have, side hustles, side jobs.

Now, calculate that by your bills such as rent, utilities, WIFI, car insurance, health insurance, Mortgages, loans, and college loans.

Yes this maybe very daunting but I have a point I promise.

When giving these tips I am telling you what works for me. Not the other way around.

You can use these tips I have given you, and make your own.

I saved money when I grocery shopped so it goes in my envelope until the end of the year.

I have noticed as us women are we say we are only going to get one thing from the store but once we walk inside we have stars in our eyes.

We think we are rich but we are trying to live below our means. Even if we are well off.

Have you ever heard that saying when someone who makes four or five figure paychecks they want champagne on beer wages? You can make four or five figure paycheck.

You see the fortune five hundred girls who wear all those great brand clothes. Who shop until they drop, yes?

As humans we envy what we can't have. Once we have it after envying it, it's not what we expected it to be.

Can anyone relate to this?

Since I have started a few jobs you could say I have been very blessed. But because I have the money my logic is, "I have to spend it right now." That's not very bright to do. The money will stay there I don't need anything, I think if I replace everything that I lost it will help me.

In fact, it's just possessions. It can be replaced eventually. But I don't need it. Here are five things that I have learned about saving money.

1.) Keep it in the bank:

This helps with the interest yes.

2.) Take out the Debit Cards and Cash:

This helps with temptation to try to retrain my mind. Never giving up on finding the job I truly want. Plus, I live in Cleveland near campus and there was a thieve who stole money from someone. So, I can't carry money on me anyways.

3.) Retrain the mind:

Affirmations are powerful, keep repeating yourself simple things that help you realise that you can save and put money aside.

4.) Once Strong Enough:

Once I know I am strong enough, I can start carrying my Debit card without temptation. I am doing this for me.

5. Remember who you are:

I have noticed once we move up the social ladder if you will we forget one thing. We let money define us, and we don't remember, "hey I came from nothing. I was homeless, I know what it's like not to have money."

If we can remember these things then I think in our own ways we can save money. That's the most important thing to know and realise. That's what I know I can do.
