Hunting Down "Space Hymns" By Ramases
And Other Rare Vinyl: Update

Introduction
I was not sure where this should go. As you know, I collect vinyl records, but often buy them if they have exceptional artwork. Also, some have become sought after and rare on vinyl, especially early Krautrock albums. I recently captured "Dance Of The Lemmings" by Amon Düül II for £25, but you can check it on eBay and Discogs for what it is going for now.
Yeti is another I hope to get
Some of the cheaper ones have covers or discs missing, so they are no-go for me.
So while it is about vinyl records and their artwork, it could therefore go in the Vocal Art or Beat communities. However, as it is about trying to buy this particular item and the hoops I have had to jump through so far, without getting the item I wanted, yet.
But on to the point of this piece.
Hunting Down "Space Hymns By Ramases
I'm not sure what switched me on to this album, as I only saw the Space Rocket cover, then discovered it was an early Roger Dean design. You can see more of his work here:
Here is the album I am still sort of looking for' although I have a copy now, but it's not the one I wanted.
Although the prices for the full cover 1971 version are around £70-£80, I was surprised to see it on Amazon for £20 (it's now £27)
This is what I got:
This is what I was expecting (that's not me in the picture).

So I got the album with a free download and found out that the backing musicians were 10CC, and the music was very good.
The problem now is that when I am searching, unless the seller specifies what the cover is, I don't know what I am looking at. Because there are two versions, anything below £80 is probably the single sleeve version.
This is a problem when two different versions of the same item are on the market. You can contact the seller, but often they will not reply or will be ambiguous.
I printed off an A4 copy, then found my printer was running out of colour ink:

I now have colour on and then thought, maybe I can get a printer to print me a 3' by 2' print, which I can then fold up and therefore have my custom cover.
Conclusion
This week I am going to check out a printer or two and if the price is reasonable, I will make my own copy of the album cover.
As I said, the album is a great listen, so I am not disappointed with the music, just the album cover.
Hawkwind did it with their "Space Ritual" album, the reissue being the six-panel 3' by 2' cover, and that was only £25, so whoever is marketing the Ramases album could make a killing by charging a bit more for the full cover.

Thank you for reading, I hope I have not bored you too much.
Addendum
Today, 1/8/26, I took delivery of my vinyl copy of "Space Hymns"
