Pinterest, as a social media platform, allows brands and companies to get closer to their customers.

You, as someone who sells stuff, can blend in with your consumers, and this is a powerful tool.

I’ve been making some Money with Pinterest in a CPA model, referring people to either sign-up forms, app downloads, or sales pages.

This is pretty straightforward, and I started having success as soon as I got some eyeballs on my boards.

What’s more?

Through a lot of trial and error, I was able to get a system together and started growing faster and faster.

In this small guide, I’m going to tell you about 7 techniques I used to make more money on Pinterest, by increasing my account’s growth.

No ads, just organic sustainable growth.

Does it sound good?

Then grab a cup of tea and get ready to soak in this guide — I promise it’s to the point.

Warning: Pinterest is a Social Media Platform That’s Only Good for Certain Niches.

Before we proceed, I got to let you know Pinterest, while it’s a powerhouse for some niches, is near useless for others.

Knowing when to create an account on this social network and when to skip it can save you valuable time and resources.

So, how can you know whether it’s worth it to create a Pinterest or not?

Well, only create a Pinterest account if you have most of these checked:

Do you get traffic from Pinterest already?

Is your niche visual, or do you have some strong visual elements?

Can you get a constant supply of good graphic elements and media?

Are you willing to learn the Dynamics of the Platform?

Do you have the time and space to really network inside the platform

…and that’s it.

If you have at least 2–3 of these checked, then consider setting up an account, but if you don’t have the fourth, skip it entirely.

Pinterest has a different way of working than most social media platforms.

Now, it’s time to get into the meat of the guide and start to make some Money with Pinterest.

Go Ballistic With Pins: Relevant & Quality

The first thing you should do is to start pinning and pin a lot.

Don’t listen to the average guides out there telling you to pin 5 or 10 pins per day, those are rookie numbers.

Pins aren’t that hard to create, and they are the lifeblood of your growth, so PIN IT!

The platform doesn’t care about how much you pin.

You should, however, be consistent in your pinning.

We usually say “a method to the madness” and that’s what you need here.

Post like a madman, but do it methodically every day. This keeps your audience engaged and hooked on your content.

Don’t listen to other mainstream guides that say you need to get the timing right — if you pin at all hours, then that doesn’t matter either.

Try to have pins being done in all 24 hours of the day. This way, you’ll hit 2 or 3 different audiences through timezones, and you’ll also increase the amount of comments, shares, pins, and engagement.

Finally, if you say I’m crazy and you aren’t staying up to pin at all times, rest assured you can automate all of this with software like BUFFER.

By the way guys, even the gurus out there say you should never pin more

than 20 times per day — but I talked to them about it saying that’s obvious a bad tip and they end up saying it’s due to people getting burnt out and publishing a lot but then stopping.

We are all great and highly motivated men and women, so we don’t burn out, this means pin a truck ton of times per day every day.

Leave the guys following most guides eating your dust!

Don’t Pin Low-Quality Stuff

Sometimes you may feel tempted to post less than 5 stars stuff just because of the sheer amount of pinning and grinding you’re doing.

After all, in between all that quality stuff, a minorly pixelated image shouldn’t make much of a difference right?

Wrong!

You need to pin a ton, but not at any cost.

Never, ever pin sub-optimal stuff.

You need your page to be the page people go to in that niche.

Never risk ruining your page’s rep.

Everything needs to be absolutely flawless!

It’s Not Just About the Pins: Keywords, Descriptions, Boards

When you’re thinking of traditional social media platforms like for example Facebook or our beloved Twitter, you’re thinking of platforms where content is consumed fresh.

On Pinterest, the boards and pins are mostly evergreen and get consumed in the long run.

So, this brings you an advantage, but it also brings you a concern — you need to interlink well enough, keyword optimize better, and get found consistently through the years.

There’s also been a recent update that changed the rules a bit and made everything even less chronological.

Here’s what the algorithm looks like to decide what pins make it to the top:

Quality of the Pin: Add substance to high-quality images.

Sources: Pins from Sites with a Big Domain Authority give it a good chance at rocking.

Minimal Text on the Images;

Borderless Images;

In-Depth Descriptions.

Don’t Forget it’s not just about the pin though, you also have to organize your boards.

Basically, you should use your boards as category “buttons”.

Learn to Use Rich Pins:

Pinterest has told us firsthand what a Rich Pin is to them.

App Pins

Movie Pins

Recipe Pins

Article Pins

Product Pins

Places Pins.

Use a combination of these rich pins and you’ll have a page that has content pop-out and enrich the life of your followers — and as you know, as we give the audience value, it promotes us back.

Build Community: Social Media is All About Connections.

Pinterest isn’t different as part of community building is concerned.

You need to spend some time on the platform every day and get to know your audience, your competitors, and the way Pinterest Etiquette works.

Follow other boards from your niche and start hitting up their owners or big influencers.

Then, you need to find the administrators of group boards.

If you’re a Pinterest veteran, you know what these are, but if you’re starting out, then know group boards are big “publications” where an admin controls the pins but multiple users can contribute.

Think about it as a curator board, with exposure to the audience of every contributor, and then some!

Creating friendships and cooperating with these group board admins is a sure-shot way to increase your exposure.

If you start taking these tips and implementing them right now, I guarantee your growth on Pinterest will skyrocket.

When you get all of those eyeballs on your content and your following is massive, you’ll have your CPA offers jump like crazy…

…and the rest is history!

Hope you guys enjoyed this guide and, again, don’t listen to the other guides telling you to take it easy on pins.
