Art of Forgiveness Are you one to hold a grudge? Do you secretly plot revenge scenarios? Well, how you overcome the, yes, to these two questions is to remind yourself “vengeance is mine says the Lord.” Hurt, disappointment, or betrayal and I would even throw in the inability to unring the bell of your past experiences can keep you stuck and unproductive in finding a fix to forgiveness. You probably find yourself on any given day raging at the facts and circumstances you find yourself having to deal with…because you let your guard down trying to believe, trust, or love someone who let you down. Be assured I am not telling you to just get over it because I am sure you have heard this piece of unproductive advice enough or how about this one “we all go through that this or the other” when you need a reasonable solution to get over a betrayal, let down, or lie. People do the best they can I am sure you have heard this and believe it to a point because you yourself are doing the best you cannot to cuss someone out who has let you down. You try to walk away and get some justice for the wrong done, but all you find are questions like why did you do that? Or believe that? Or trust they would? Which you know does nothing for your state of mind. And just causes you to be pissed at the person and leave you feeling stupid for the decision you made trying to trust yourself with others. But you cannot take what has been done to you and ask someone else to pay for the pains of your past and you understand this intellectually, but the heart holds hurt and just stepping over or around what has been done is easier said and may never be done. So coping is the next best thing to a solution that I have come up with that I know will help. Five suggestions same as the number that represents God’s grace that you must wear, speak over yourself, and walk out in your life to live and love to the best of your ability. Cause your ability is all you really have if honesty is going to be told to you by me…
