Why Neither Is A Good Plan
We've all heard the ruckus on social media, seen the posts, and the threats of a blue wave or a red wave.

Blue Wave Versus Red Wave
And there's the marquee for the big showdown. It's blue versus red, but not at Madison Square Garden or in one of those fancy Las Vegas venues. And you don't need to run out and get the ESPN package for this one. It's coming for free, like a runaway rogue wave, and it's going to drown us all.
That's right, every single one of us is about to drown in this nightmare of neolithic incompetence. And that's what many are cheering for, a wave from one side or the other. How militantly misguided can one population of people be?
The idea of a Blue Wave versus Red Wave won't help the people we know, or the people we care about. It certainly won't fix all of your problems. So, why do it?
It's a concept rooted in something dark and evil. The idea of a blue or red wave isn't about assuring representative government, democracy, or a better future for your children and yourselves. To say it is about that is disingenuous at best; at worst, it's lying.
A wave during election season is purely about the militant hatred of the other side, without any concept of the people that a wave might negatively affect. Those people are your family, friends, co-workers, your children, and children everywhere.
I read through a friend's comments, a respected person, someone who served both in the military and his community, and he was suggesting voting all red. Never in my life would I consider voting all Red, or Blue, without knowing who is running and why they are a good candidate. It's foolhardy to do it that way.
It made me think of all the political rhetoric since 2025. Since just months after Republicans (Team Red) took the White House again in 2025, things have been heating up, and a giant wedge grew out of the middle of the two sides like an ancient redwood tree. From the seeds planted by both the Red Wavers and the Blue Wavers, we have learned a little.
We've learned that neither wave can be trusted entirely. For example, one side is obviously anti-billionaire. But they don't seem to mind their team's billionaire antics. And they don't understand why the red team scratches their heads and is dumbfounded by the obvious.
Let me go back to the original discussion that prompted this piece, and perhaps you'll understand one of the many reasons I believe a wave is bad, politically speaking.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is a billionaire heir. One of his claims to fame is that his family hotel business got over 100 million in tax incentives from the state of Illinois. Good or bad?
While Democrats tell people billionaire oligarchs are the source of all that's bad, here's one of the presumptive candidates for president in 2028. Even in the city of Chicago, a historically Democratic city, there are growing movements of people who fit the mold of the blue side who are promoting change by voting the blue out and the red into office.
And yet, when you mention it to someone complaining about billionaires, many will defend Pritzker and chant or urge people to participate in this blue wave. It would lead critical thinkers to question things. Why would they want more of what they've been complaining about?
And this is just one example of why a blue wave or a red wave is a historically bad idea. A blue wave in November guarantees that we'll end up with historic impeachment attempts. If history's proven anything, it'll be half-cocked and unsuccessful. It won't work.
On the other side of that very ugly coin, we have a president with zero to lose. He'll still be the president. He can't legally run for another term. We could, and if history tells us anything, would likely see one tantrum and strange thing after another out of the Oval Office.
Forced change, change born out of hatred, is never a good thing unless it's changing evil and putting more on the side of good. We're in a real good versus evil situation when it comes to our world, and by pushing the wave mentality, we're stuck there.
Getting honestly educated about the candidates, and finding the best ones, is more important than ever. And it's past time for people to remember that. Because they obviously don't remember the dangers of waves.
The bigger the wave, the more destruction it brings.
