White America please listen.

It is unfortunate that people riot and loot after racial tensions escalate, because their actions detract from what is really going on. It gives White people the excuse to not see the Forrest for the trees. I am sharing in order to educate and hope someone finally gets it. I understand that all Caucasian’s don’t feel the same way but I address them as a whole to make a point. During slavery African American were treated bad. They were beaten until the skin came off their backs. They were hung from trees and black women raped by their masters. For this reason, before anyone calls the rioters thugs, consider the actions of early Americans. Once slavery was over, free blacks just wanted to make a living and care for their families like White people. So please Caucasian Americans read this with an open mind then look in the mirror and no further.

What happened was the White police officers, lawyers, judges and pillars of society put on sheets and like cowards rode through the night. They burned homes and murdered black people. If this is not rioting and thuggish I don’t know what is. Straight through the era of Jim Crow and even until now there have been Caucasians who don’t want African Americans to have a fare shake. Many of us have died along with non black supporters all for the sake of equality. Black people grow up being told not to go to certain neighborhoods or they might not come back alive. thank Every generation there is a story of some black man who was murdered by the police. Will Smith summed it up best when he said “Racism hasn’t gotten worse, it’s being caught on film”.

White Anerica you don’t have to live in fear of what may happen if you are stopped by law enforcement because you run the show. You are the majority in Congress and the senate. You own the majority of businesses, you basically control everything and you set the rules. You don’t have to pray that paramedics in an ambulance won’t kill your loved one on the hosputal. You don’t have to pray that the doctors and nurses are not racist and may have an accident on purpose that kills your family member. You probably never even thought of such a thing because you don’t have to. When the first autopsy report indicate that George Floyd did not die because of the foot on his neck I told my husband that his family needed a second opinion because the coroner worked for the same police department as the man who killed him.

Many black people were saying a second report would be different . They got a second autopsy which revealed Floyd did die because of what we all saw on film. This happens all the time with African Americans but it’s just not known by White America. You think we are exaggerating but these stories are true. For whatever reason White males seem to be intimidated by black men and want to wipe them off the face of the earth. How else do you explain the actions of the father and son who murdered Amahud Aubrey just because he jogged through their neighborhood. What other explanation is there for the way George Floyd left this earth. Then you have White women willing to lie on Black men for no reason.

I thought that when schools were integrated in the 60s and 70s we would all learn to co exist but it did not happen. In sixth grade every girl in our class was advised to three or four sleepovers by other classmates except two. My cousin and I were never invited and we knew it was because we were black. When I was in high school a family with 3 biracial sisters moved to the community. When they went to the swimming pool near their home they were turned away because they were half black. That was cruel. Now I see daily on Facebook that most all of my white male conservative friends are calling everyone to get out their weapons and saying the looters should be killed.

They care more about property than the fact that Black men get murdered for no reason. I fear for the lives of my husband, 2 sons and 2 grandsons. I cry now when I see young black men minding their business . I know that one false move could end their lives. My husband and I watch a lot of crime shows and whenever a white male suspect is being apprehended the police most always talk him down, even when he had a weapon. This can go in for about 30 minutes if the program. We look at this then one of us will say if it were a black man he would have been shot dead immediately. When my husband was a little boy he and his friends were thrown out of a circus as well as a local fair just because they were a group of young black men. Ebony and Ivory sit side by side on the keyboard why as humans can’t we?

Each time they were accused of things they did not do. Both my husband and our oldest son worked jobs where the white males use racial slurs and made them uncomfortable. These men clearly did not know how to deal with black men. I shared this on Facebook and list several white male friends. Please White America understand that sharing my truth does not make me racist. I am not putting white makes down. I am saying that in too many situations they don’t seem to like black men who have done nothing to them. To make it worse is that a majority of African Americans as well as a number of white peoples can see that our current president is a race bater. His rhetoric has caused many Americans to unleash the racism they had been holding in previously.

It is painful to hear my white friendships bring up Obama every time Trump is called for his hateful attitude. Please White people don’t Black the truths you have read because many of you know it’s real. You have husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, fathers and uncles who are white supremacists and you turn the other way. This makes you no better than the three police officers who stood by and allowed their fellow officer to commit murder. White America you must stand up and say that racism is wrong. When you say something those of your race will listen. Black men are not plotting a race war or an overthrow of the government. All they have ever wanted is to live the American dream but instead what happens is you shit on them then say go away you smell bad.

If you saw a child being molested would you not stop to help? When you allow those around you to continue in hate and you say nothing you are allowing the molestation of African Americans to continue. What gives you the right to make our lives miserable. You should not hate us it should be the other way around. We are the ones who have been mistreated. What is really difficult to comprehend is the silence from White Christian faith leaders. What if they spoke every week from their pulpits about love and stopping the hate.Please White America police yourself . Take an honest look at the person in the mirror, because that’s where it starts. We all are in this world together so we should all try to get along.
