President Trump withdraw the USA of the World Health Organization. Trump had critics about the way the WHO treated the Coronavirus pandemic.

In the biggest health crisis in this world, since a long time, the WHO has made big mistakes, according to Trump. According to him too, the UN organization is too slow, gives outdated advice and overshadows China.

Trump's main issue is that the WHO is too much on China's side. The WHO Director-General praised China several times because the corona outbreak identified the pathogen very quickly and shared all information with the rest of the world.

China didn't say anything about the Coronavirus in the beginning, and Trump did the same, lying about the Coronavirus in the USA first too. And yet, Trumps still says that it is China's fault that there is a Coronavirus pandemic.

Trump also said that China's political officials pushed the WHO to lie about the Coronavirus to the world. But the officials of the WHO says it is the other side:

"The West has funded the entire WHO for the past twenty years. So it is precisely the Western countries that have determined what happens at the WHO through their focused financing." - Remco van de Pas, international public health expert.

The WHO has done very good things in the past as well:

In 1948, the WHO, a UN organization, is an organization to promote the health of the world citizens. Until the 1970s, viruses claimed many victims in the world. Despite major disagreements between countries in the Cold War, WHO has managed to eliminate some of these diseases.

In the late 1970s, for example, smallpox was completely eradicated:

"The East and West countries worked together, it was seen as the greatest achievement of the 20th century." - Canadian professor Kelley Lee, who wrote in her standard work on the WHO.

She also says that in recent decades it has been the West that has largely determined the direction of the WHO:

"It is interesting that the WHO is now accused of being influenced by China. Looking back, the US has had much more influence over many of the programs the WHO is currently working on." - Kelley Lee

For example, the program to eradicate polio receives largely American money. Now that America is actually withdrawing the WHO membership, it is these kinds of programs that are delayed to get the money that they need for those programs.

So, because Trump withdrew the membership of the WHO, it means - in my opinion - that he doesn't want the best health care for his citizens in the USA or the world at all. Apparently Trump doesn't want any good care for his citizens.

As a president, I believe you have to lead the country the best you can. Withdrawing your membership of the WHO is - in my opinion - the worse decision ever.

How will you ever get the right health care supplies if you withdraw your WHO membership?

Joe Biden also thinks it is the dumbest decision to make:

Americans are safer when America is engaged in strengthening global health. On my first day as President, I will rejoin the @WHO and restore our leadership on the world stage. - Joe Biden

The WHO is not perfect. Not all organizations are perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is how we learn from the mistakes. In my view, the WHO is learning for its mistakes.

The thing is, Trump withdrew his WHO membership in the middle of a pandemic. How would you ever be so sure about withdrawing your membership of the WHO, and don't need any health care supervisor, and strengthening the global health care.

Leaving in the middle of a pandemic is not the right decision. It is worse. It is worse because as a country you provide from their expertise, the research of illnesses, viruses and other health issues. The WHO has a good eye on every disease and every health care issue.
