The Never-Ending Indoctrination

For thousands of years, history has eerily repeated itself with the recurrence in the rise and fall of many great empires and societies. Given the assertion that we learn through our mistakes, how can this be so? What is the cause?

The majority of individuals would rather be followers than leaders. The cause lies with both the followers and leaders. We are all responsible for this despicable recurring reality. The greedy, power-hungry leaders and the indoctrinated masses.

Throughout history, those in a position of power indoctrinate the followers by means of various forms of mind-control. From what to eat, what not to eat, how to act, how not to act, what is healthy, what isn't, to what to believe and what not to believe.

Within every society there is a control mechanism that is designed to benefit those who are in control. As time marches on, these control mechanisms become more and more elaborate and sophisticated. Here in the U.S., one such example would be the implementation of the Project MK-Ultra Program, also called the CIA mind control program, the code name given to a program of experiments on human subjects that were designed and undertaken by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, some of which were illegal.

Experiments on humans were intended to identify and develop drugs and procedures to be used in interrogations in order to weaken the individual and force confessions through mind control. The project was organized through the Office of Scientific Intelligence of the CIA and coordinated with the United States Army Biological Warfare Laboratories. Code names for drug-related experiments were Project Bluebird and Project Artichoke.

The program engaged in many illegal activities, including the use of U.S. and Canadian citizens as its unwitting test subjects, which led to controversy regarding its legitimacy. Project MK-Ultra used numerous methods to manipulate its subjects' mental states and brain functions. Techniques included the covert administration of high doses of psychoactive drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, electroshocks, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as other forms of torture.

At this point, it would be interesting to note that when the government questions its people, it is considered an investigation, but when the people question their government, they are considered conspiracy theorists.

Currently, the quickest, most effective form of modern mind control is the main stream news media's constant dishing-out of what it chooses the masses to digest.

There are so many elaborate ways to subtly and deceptively control the masses. From birth, generations upon generations have been born unto, groomed and molded into their particular societal beliefs and indoctrinations. Education, for example, which is basically the same across the board is a form of grooming and indoctrination.

The reason for the never-ending recurrence throughout history is the fact that when the oppressed finally conquer their oppressors, they eventually become who they have conquered. After their successful conquest, due to greed and their ego, they experience a power-trip, soon realizing they are in a position of control with nothing to lose and much to gain.

The ego is biggest hurdle to overcome. It is very unlikely that humans will ever succeed in shedding their egos. A tell tale sign of that is living in a world where The Vatican is richer than God, royalty and celebrities wallow within their own riches, NASA spends billions on space exploration, Big Pharma collects billions off the unhealthy poor, while there are impoverished, starving and homeless people on a global scale.

We view ourselves as the most intelligent species on Earth. But a species which maintains the power and means to destroy itself along with all other species, must possess an intelligence that is somewhat challenged.

Our historical track record indicates that as long as there is religion, politics and monetary values, there will never be peace on Earth.
