Tesla Takedown Goes Global
Nationwide Protests Target Tesla Over Musk’s Role in Trump Administration Thousands of protesters gathered outside Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and corporate offices across the U.S. and internationally on Saturday as part of the "Tesla Takedown" movement’s largest coordinated demonstration yet. The grassroots campaign, fueled by anger over CEO Elon Musk’s leadership of the Trump administration’s controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), seeks to pressure Musk by destabilizing Tesla’s financial standing and public image.

Megyn Kelly is one of the most well-known names in American journalism. Inside the Atlantic Magazine Scandal: Group Chat Leaks, Trump, and the OPSEC Controversy
In recent news, The Atlantic Magazine has found itself at the center of a political storm, as leaked Signal chat transcripts have raised serious questions about editorial integrity, security, and the role of journalists in today’s hyper-political world. The leaks, which have circulated across media outlets like Fox News today, have exposed private communications among prominent Atlantic editor figures, including discussions of potentially inflammatory content related to former President Donald Trump and sensitive geopolitical issues. These leaks highlight the tense relationship between The Atlantic Magazine and the political landscape, especially as it navigates Trump-era reporting and beyond.

When did we elect sadists and cowards into office?
I knew Trump 2.0 would be bad, but I didn’t expect America to turn into Hogwarts under Dolores Umbridge overnight. The new Trump administration is full of sycophants and sadistic loyalists. Congressional Republicans are following orders like they’re preparing for the Nuremberg trials. Meanwhile, Democrats are still in a state of shock and disbelief after they lost the election.

Why Donald Trump and Elon Musk's Grand Plan Would Never Work as Much as Donald Promised
Holy crap! On one hand, kudos to you Mr. President. On the other, what were you thinking? I remember the last time I uttered those words about Donald J. Trump. He was still the 45th president, it was January 6th, and even as a poor Illinoisian who would never have gone to Washington D.C. that week after seeing the days of alerts, I knew that what he said was poorly chosen.

Are We Great, Yet?
America now sits 62 days into a new administration and watched the country either become great, or flipped upside down based on your political perspective. Democrats in office feel powerless because the three branches of government are Republican controlled. Americans who are angry are fighting against elected officials at town hall meetings, or protesting in the streets. Almost every day the country makes international headline with a new executive order flying out from the oval office, each one directed towards reshaping Americans’ lives. To fellow Americans, I have a few questions regarding if we are great, yet.

There is more than meets the eye in El Salvador.
Pacific Ocean beaches, volcanoes, coffee farms, Mayan Ruins. There is more than meets the eye with El Salvador. Human rights violations, U.S. deportations, Venezuelans, "the world's coolest dictator," and an American King. Typically, when you search online for a Central American country, you get a bunch of images of beautiful beaches, jungles, and travel options. Right now, you get a bunch of political news stories about jails in El Salvador and where our self-declared king is threatening to send people. The new relationship between the United States and El Salvador marks a turning point in our history. This isn't just about jails and immigration policies. This is a clear indication of the direction we are headed in. We aren’t sailing into a storm. We're already in one, and we're hanging on for dear life.

The Blatant Disrespect of a Baseball Legend
Just a fair warning that I'm going to go on a bit of a rant. Recently, I ran into a story online that I wanted to talk about. As a baseball fan, I couldn't let what I'm about to say go. It was about an article mentioning the late, great Jackie Robinson's time in the Army deleted from the Department of Defense's website. In case you're not up to speed about what's behind this, President Trump signed an executive order to purge DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs from the U.S. Government. This was one of his campaign promises. That means erasing any mention of Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ figures who came before us. When asked for the reason behind this move, Pentagon press secretary John Ullyot stated it was done to stop what he called "Woke cultural Marxism." The Pentagon claimed that everyone at the Defense Department respected Jackie Robinson, which I didn't buy one bit. If they truly respected him, the article about him serving in the Army wouldn't have been deleted. This was 100% a racially motivated move on their part.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Public Service Loan Forgiveness. A program that every public school teacher should apply for and have their student loans forgiven, especially educators who work at a Title 1 schools (80% of the school’s student population derives from low-income families). The Biden Administration began a program to make this a reality for many educators and student loan borrowers. Our current administration revoked it and released a new executive order regarding loan forgiveness (see below for the executive order).
