president
They've chopped down cherry trees and waged full-on war. Riding the highs and lows of the leaders who've tried to Make America Great Again.
Dear Donald Trump,
When you first were elected, I remember coming home from my job at the news station and sitting in my room in silence as I tried to grapple with the fact that you’d won. I felt like everyone around me had not taken the election seriously, like there was no way that a reality television personality known for his solid gold toilet could win the absolute most important seat in the free world. But, then you did. A string of group texts and long phone calls started as I listened to my friends, mostly BIPOC folks who were also a part of the LGBTQ community spoke about their fears. I couldn’t do anything but try to imagine how the next four years would go.

Start writing...Dear Donald Trump. Thank you for everything you've done with healing our country. You've done your best to fix everything and in my opinion, you've successfully done all of your tasks except one, Hillary is not in jail. The Democrats are made at you because you can't bought out and you are literally cleaning out DC. They see this are doing everything in their power to get you our before the corruption is exposed. I don't believe Dear Donald Trump. I don't believe Biden won, you won fair and square. But because the Democrats own all of the media and obviously the voting routines, they hid the corruption. I believe you have four more years and the ones who have opposed you since day one are just ignorant at what America is truly about. They want a country of unity, but how can the preach by screaming a color or tearing businesses down owned by an opposite color. How can they scream for unity when they honor a man who over dosed on drugs and know that man is being an example of systematic racism. It's not racism, but they make it about race. They blame you for all of their problems, only because they are not ready for the truth. You are seeing to it that America is restored back to her former glory and because of this, it involves the process of cleaning out DC. DC can see this and are terrified of what the American people will find out, they are terrified about the charges they could possibly be hit with. They have turned millions against you but there are tens of millions fighting for you. The funny part, they have nothing against you so they blame you for everything else, they call you a racist because you built the wall. What they don't understand, is that the wall is just not there to prevent opportunities to illegal aliens, the opportunity is still there. They just have to do it right. The purpose of that wall is to prevent drugs from crossing the border but the left doesn't want to believe that, they push the race card and claim you're a racist. Which is very childish if you ask me. Why do they fight against you? Because the enemy has made empty promises and have falsely led the American public, how they are still so stupid to keep voting Democratic is beyond me. Me personally, I've always registered as an independent because I didn't care who our President was as long as they didn't blow us up. But once I discovered you were running for President, I immediately knew that if a rich man like you was willing to trade a life of luxury to work for the will of the American people, you are my President. I registered as a Republican and you're the first President I have ever voted for, I even voted for you again in 2020. And I honestly believe the left hates you because they have nothing against you and it makes them made. They've done everything possible and it's pretty funny that because they've been put in the spotlight they want you out. Hell I'm still wondering where my tax dollars go. I also know that with everything they tax us over, We The People can hit our government for over taxation which is exactly why the South used their Constitutional right and left the Union. But yet, they are afraid to read the Constitution because they'll freak out if the Constitution has something against what they are doing. But you, President Trump are using the Constitution which is something the last ones never did, so the Democrats don't know what to do but make themselves look good and use the Constitution to hopefully make you look bad. God Bless You President Trump. won, you won fair and square. God Bless You Donald Trump.

Is that flag held high?Proud? That is the America I thought I lived in, it is the one I thought I grew up in. As a senior in high school I put flags on my car, I thought America was great!I still do, I feel like we have made bad choices that in time we will recover from and move on. Currently I cannot see the light in the tunnel and it is very grim. In the state that I lived growing up people actually were moving from overseas to the area, looking for a better life. I was happy with them. I watched my parents go through the voting and current elections at that time President Bush. There were moments of chaos surely behind the scenes but never did it get to a point that I felt like we could go to war in our own countries. So finally I got to the age myself where I can vote and I get all excited! Obviously you never know if who you vote for will end up doing all the things you felt passionate about but you definitely do not ever think you will have supported someone who does not even like you. The reality of this is unreal unthinkable how could one of the soil of a country with people all over the world merged together? How could we accidentally vote in someone be excited about someone? The past election was evident that it's time to change the way we do things and that apparently regular elections are a thing of the past maybe we should do in order to get into the police department. All in all and despite negative information I was a trumpster I got to a point where I felt he was like a person in school whom the popular kids pick on someone who had not been in this country only. In conclusion it is not at all the fact that he lost the election that part was shocking. It was not the part that we did not know he had faults for me it was therapeutic to say even the president of the free world has it's faults. I had through the last twenty years began to realize there are no perfect people we mess up we have faults. The hardest part of moving on is the realization that we had in fact voted in someone who does not even like my relatives based on just the color of their skin not anything else they had done to identify with him. It's predicting unbelievably shocking it's painful (I was curious), how is the brown or any nationality in the White House other than Caucasian dealing with alongside a man who was born? Fact is when it all hits the fan through the confusion we can all clearly see it never was about someone being prejudiced or even discriminated against. I believe that even if the media had it wrong apparently there were far more people in the nation who thought he was not qualified due to a lack of getting the job done in a professional manner which would be in this case presidental manner. I have not been in the white house before so I have to compare to what I have experienced and once I had a boss he got along with everyone he laughed, he sympathized but the customers problems were not being noticed. Eventually the company brought a new person on board they were quiet and did not really care about random chitchat, however, customers were giving a five star rating on how they were taken care of. It is the way the world sometimes the quiet ones get more done (lesson learned).

President Elect Biden, I was thrilled when you were finally announced the title. Unfortunately my state was not one that went Blue, but I was hoping it would have. We don’t see many politicians come to our town, or even talk about our town when it comes to issues like the virus. I feel as though we are left behind, but the other half of our state gets all the attention, because of Trump. I am talking about Florida. South Florida gets all the media and all the rallies, but we here in the Panhandle or Northwest Florida are forgotten.

First off, congratulations to Joe Biden on his election win. It was a nail biting week to be sure. I don’t think there were many people who expected it to be that close, certainly not after the last four years.

The election that has just passed with the United States of America, with Biden beating Trump in the 2020 election has been very interesting in my opinion.
Alex-Ray WolfPublished 3 years ago in The SwampThe New Normal Must Change
For four years Americans have dealt with a new normal that many did ree with. United States citizens have been served daily doses of vitriol, often multiple times a day. The very worst of attitudes in this nation have begun to feel empowered and show no shame in epressing their hated toward Americans different from themselves. Joe Biden won the 2020 election fair and square but the craziness will not disappear overnight. Donald Trump remains amped up and in fight mode and so do his most ardent followers. Several months ago he set in motion a plan to keep himself in the spotlight and cause his devotes to remain fixated on him.
