Joe Biden’s VA Rally 2020

1933-1945, one of the most prosperous times in American history. This was arguably the greatest moment for those who call themselves democrats.

It was during this time, the President, of these STATES United, Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) another man who believed marketing his initials was genius, was fresh on the scene.

The arguable originator of social reform, and some dare to claim the creator of the concept of a social democracy. It was under FDR, we got Social Services, Social Security, Welfare, to name a few. These programs were vital to the jump starting of our economy, which ultimately raced the engine of this democracy out of the pit of depression, into the bright days of prosperity...

Now for those of you who feel President Barack Obama was the first to succeed at boosting an economy, while dealing with the horrors of war; I’ve come to burst your bubble... (POP). For Mr. FDR also found himself at the end of a brutal war, which before he could seal the door on brewed into an encore. But thru various efforts, accompanied by community collaborations, the great USA 🇺🇸 pulled herself on thru...

1935-1945; a time of American democratic excellence, but also a time of American democratic struggle.

During this time the Democrats and Republicans for that matter were made up of white men, with a sprinkle of African Americans for appeasements. Just a sprinkle of blacks and even less sprinkle of women.

Back then women only had one responsibility. Take care of their mans house. Many women like my grandma, didn’t get to experience, or even understand the inner workings of our democracy. Presidents, Governors, or Mayors for that matter constantly overlooked women, especially when it came to making decisions.

I must pause here, taking a moment to breathe, because my soul has started to ache, thinking about the bold acts of seclusion; how the strategy for power was based on discrimination, and incrimination, instead inclusion, and fair play.

It is easy to read something like this and get angry 😤 to bury yourself deep inside the evils of your soul, yes, that is an option, but what if we would utilize these stories as a backdrop, a canvas for what the world moving forward could looks like??

Eighty to Eighty Five years ago, these two ladies both as a African Americans and as woman would not have been allowed to enjoy such an event like this. The only way these two could get a shot to at least be in the room, is if they were one of hotties, fetchin the fellas drinks, lighting their pipes, or draining them...... (GET THE POINT!!) and I’m moving on👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾.

But now because of where we have come as a society, because of the POSSITIVE progression of our democracy, and most importantly because of who we have become as people, grandma and others alike have access, can share in the process, and can be heard in this democracy...

Now we face a new set of challenges. Allowing people the right to be free. To be to voice their views without prejudice, and without retaliation. Our next challenge is for people to be free, to live their lives the way they choose. We must find a way to live individually, and simultaneously live collectively.

This I believe is one underling factor weighing heavily on this ballot. The right for more like grandma to experience opportunities, they’ve never had; to dream dreams, they were never allowed to dream, and believe in a hope, that once looked dark and drim....

As I prepare to leave you, know I ❤️ each and everyone of you reading this, I wish the best for you, believing in the most for you, and cheering you on as everyday pursue your destiny..
