Rishi Sunak and Mark Rowley.

On Saturday, will be, Armistice Day, when the guns fell silent in WW I. Between 1914 - 18 British, French, Germans, Russians, Americans, Turks, Austrians, Hungarians, etc, were slaughtered in a war that was supposed to be "The War to End All Wars". My grandmother's brother was captured, by the Germans in WW1. He was, thankfully, well-treated and released when this conflict ended.

At the Cenotaph will be members of the armed forces, past and present, to bow their heads in silence on the 11th day of the 11th month. And of course, it is only right we have a minute's silence to remember the fallen. Not only that war but all wars, after. All war as Harry Patch said the WW1 Veteran (sadly departed from this world) is a waste of time. It solves nothing and it never will. Yet humans learn nothing. Look at the Ukraine-Russia War and now the brutal war (if it can be called a war) between Hamas - Israel.

Mark Rowley Met Police Commissioner was asked to ban a Pro-Palestinian march to take place on Saturday. It might interfere with the Armistice gathering at the Cenotaph. However, the Commissioner has seen fit to let the demo go ahead. Others like Nigel Farage, who usually trumpets, the idea of free speech have said, that the march should be banned. Why, because, it disrespects the ceremony of the fallen. However, as Winston Churchill's grandson, has observed, Lord Soames, the pro-Palestinian march will not come anywhere near the cenotaph.

In fact, the gathering at the cenotaph and the Palestine march will take place at different times. Organisers of the march have said themselves, they will come, nowhere, near the cenotaph.

1000s of police are being drafted in from all corners of the nation. To help out the Met Police. Tommy Robinson and others will assemble to oppose this pro-Palestine march. While many of the demonstrators and counter- demonstrators will be peaceful, there will be, those out for trouble. Much like when BLM marchers gathered a few years accused of desecrating statues and memorials. So, far-right counter-demonstrators gathered, to confront them.

Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman wanted the Met Police Commissioner to ban the pro-Palestinian march. They said like Farage, it disrespected, the memory of the fallen. Sunak has said if anything goes wrong tomorrow he will hold Mark Rowley (the Police Commissioner) personally responsible. So what exactly can Sunak do if things do get out of hand? The right to protest has been enshrined, in British law, for centuries. Therefore, those gathered at the cenotaph, the pro-Palestine marchers and the anti-pro-Palestine counter-marchers have the right to gather. Just as the police have the right to be there to make sure the peace is kept.

We live in truly troubling times what with the war between Russia-Ukraine. This war has always threatened to spiral out of control and become a wider conflict. Thank God, so far, this has not transpired.

Similarly, the awful events unfolding first in Israel and now, in Gaza. The brutal, barbarous, assault by Hamas on an Israeli settlement and open-air rave. The abducted that are still being held in Gaza, though, some have been released.

Israel's brutal bombing the hell out of Gaza still going on. IDF troops and Hamas fighters clashing in the rubble of what was once Gaza City. Hamas and Benjamin Netanyahu and his goons, all war criminals, equally.

The US, UK, Germany, Netherlands and so on, whose navies have gathered in the Med. To provide backup to Israel, should it need it. The Chinese have a naval presence, the Turks, as if in support of Gaza. Iran backed Hezbollah tossing missiles into Israel and vice versa. Houthis in Yemen firing missiles at Israel. Iran-backed militias in Syria and Iraq attacking American military bases. Americans hitting back with airstrikes. Russia denounced Israel and the United States. A very dangerous situation indeed.

Many Christians and others, denote the Bible and say we are living in the 'End of Days'. And you might mock them as nutters, but, nothing surprises me in this world any more.
