This should be peace

It is incredibly sad to see the country that I hold so dear to my heart crumble apart. it is sad the victors write the history books. However, it appears that no one is reading those history books. Civilizations around the world have dealt with some sort of unrest. It dates as far back as the written word goes. Conquered people pay the price, whether it be locked into slavery or taxed and forced into military service.

I realize slavery issues have peaked in the last few years. However, it has been an issue since man held a weapon. Every conquered nation lost citizens to slavery. The Romans during their huge conquest of Europe, The Mongolian Invasions into China, the Saxon unrest in England, the Slavic invasions of many nations. Before nations settled into "superpowers", slavery was at its peak

Now I am 100% against this form of human treatment. It is a violation of simple human rights. During the Pre-United States Civil War days, slavery was a standard in most wealthy households through the entire colonies. Once we became a nation... slavery did not die off, it escalated. Not just here, but in the Northern and Western Part of Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, also in the Far East. Over time it died off as a source of income for many nations.

Here in the United States slavery continued. It was an unfortunate way of life for many individuals. In the North and the The South. Over time, it slowly decreased. Then came the American Civil War.... a brutal butchery that plagued this great nation for several years. Every nation, at some point, has had a Civil War, or strong Civil Unrest. That includes the Communist nations around the world. However, here in the United States, our Civil War defined how are future would look. It was the basis of all issues formed today.

Recently landmarks and military institutions have become targets of anti-slavery views. I understand the hostilities and the pain that continues today regarding slavery. Landmarks and military institutions with "Confederate" ties have become targets of opportunity of change. Statues such as General Robert E. Lee in Virginia is a target of opportunity. This individual, a Virginia by love and birth, fought for Virginia. He did not fight to maintain slavery. He fought to secure Virginian rights. In the end, this man lost his home to a cemetery, and all his professional, talented, knowledge, and abilities were lost. He was forced to survive however he could.

I understand the desire to remove these landmarks of a time that was harsh on millions of Americans. However, we can not just focus on Names of Military bases, Ships, statues, or flags, the majority of things in this great country of ours dates back to slavery. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other founding fathers had slaves. Yet people still visit their monuments in Washington D.C. Why are these items not a focus of change.

Slavery is still alive and well across this great blue ball we call Earth. Every continent has some form of slavery still. It may have a different name, such as human trafficking and tribal religious differences; genocide, and military POW forced labor. Greed has forced the hand of many people to live in this type of world. Only the removal of greed will end slavery.

We now are a Nation at war. War over terror for almost 20 years. The Vietnam Conflict caused over 58,000 American lives. If we did not have the medical treatments we have today, what would be the death toll to our Military Personnel fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan be? I think the numbers would be astronomical.

Now our country is destroying itself from within. Not over slavery or war, but just because of political opinions. Politicians, radical militias, peaceful organizations, and just plan people views, have increased many issues. Violence is on the rise again. Mass shootings, pandemic crisis, foreign nations testing each others military response. Greed as popped its ugly head again.

The Constitution of the Untied States was designed by men of solid knowledge and background. They designed a document and a nation, that could adjust and change to the times. However, the citizens of the United States were warned that political parties, radical militias, and corporate greed, would be the downfall of this great nation. We fought for our freedom of oppression, yet we have Senators, Congressman, Governors, and men and woman who have been in office longer than the average worker in the United States. Why? They were not meant to be lifers. They were there to support their states. The Presidency was created to lead our people nationally first, then domestically second. George Washington himself refused a third term for president. He felt we would become the "image of a king". President F. D. Roosevelt, held four terms. This action alone scared Congressional leaders into creating an Executive term limit. But, not a Congressional one... again why?

Now our Nation is destroying itself over law and order. Yes, Police Officers and Military mobilized personnel have wrongfully hurt people. However, is the removal of "defunding" of our law enforcement agencies the answer? Is reducing our Military presence and expenditures the answer? As a former Peace Officer myself, I have worked with many law enforcement officers that work in the "field" every day. Many have told me that most terrible position an officer can be put into is the unknow. For example, domestic disputes, and the vague 911 calls. I personally know of at least two incidents where officers were killed responding to domestic disputes. Now there is talk of having Therapists and Social Workers handle such issues. Ok, let us put our untrained Civil Workers in danger. Officers have been know to be shot before they even knock on the door.

It isn't just internal issues that are forcing the hand of this great nation. International issues are on the rise. Foreign Nations flexing their military might. Nations trying to get back to the power struggle of the past. History has been known to repeat itself every twenty to thirty years. World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. All these wars were within twenty years of each other. The world is over due. The fight for terror is at its twenty year mark. It does not surprise me that Nations are flexing their military muscles right now.

The Covid Pandemic of the planet caused massive unemployment and change in many Nations. Government officials are trying to resolve these issues, but without the support of the people, the job may be unreachable.

The World may be heading into a new cycle. A change that hasn't taken place in many years. First it was nations growing, stretching, colonizing, and prospering. Then, it was nations attempting to dominate others. Now, it is nations showing who is stronger, who is willing to take the chance, who is right, who is wrong. I fear that this world is ending into a crisis much worse then a medical pandemic. I believe the cold war never ended, it just went dormant. Nations will once again face off in conflict. How we handle the conflict will depend on the people chosen to lead.

So when voting becomes a issue of "wrongful counting, and reporting, and improper ballot procedures", how can we prepare for such a major change.

We tried to keep out of world issues prior to World War I. The United States was dragged in. World War II the Untied States tried to stay out... but was again dragged in. After World War II, the leaders of this nation felt that it was up to the United States to form strong allies and create a democratic world. To try and force peace in all nations. That is a task that will never be obtained. As long as there are different opinions, religious, and political views.... The world Will Face a New Order... May the great Nations of the Earth be prepared.
