Open Letter to Bernie Sanders

Global Warming/ Hunters

Dear Bernie Sanders,

I am writing to you in my concerns about our planet. As we all know before this new year started Australia and the Amazon has been dealing with a lot of forest fires. In one area it is due to their climate and how they are located directly underneath our ozone layer, but in another country, fires were made from our own species, humans. Australia's forest fires killed a lot of animals to the point some are either vulnarbale or endangered. These two areas are just the beginning, what about the Arctic?

The Artic side of the world is having the worse of it all from global warming. In a Netflix series, Our Planet, 'Episode 2: Frozen Worlds' opened my eyes to how BADLY our Arctic animals are actually doing. In the episode I cried due to the warluses. These oddly looking creatures were climbing up mountains to high distansts and since they wobble with flippers and such with one slip that fall into a grave of other warluses that had fall before them. These animals are particularly committing suicide because their home is so destoryed to the point its nothing but land and no ice, no snow. They aren't like our furry mammals up north that can climb and know how to be safe.

Warluses only know about the cold, ice, and below freezing tempertures. They don't know much about being overheated. They know about sliding down a hill in the snow into the freezing cold deepths of the Arctic waters. They shouldn't be CLIMBING up high mountains only to die. Even their carnovair frienemy, the polar bear would pay respect in their own way before taking a warlus.

Polar bears are stariving and in recent news they have been killing each other and their cubs just to survive. They have gotten to the point of cannibalism just to continue to survive. They barely have any ice or land to even hunt or even rest. These animals are doing everything they can either to survive or just to end their suffering. What will be the best cross of action to save any of these remaining animals and how are we going to bring back their home?

No disrespect to any of our forests all over the world, but we can easily plant a tree and makse sure the soil is good enough to grow plants, but with global warming being such an issue, there's no way to recreate ice long enough to deal with the warm temperatures or habitat all those remaining animals.

The majority of all of these animals from all over the world has a HUGE impact to our ecosystem. A few years ago, there's a video that was posted on faceboo, which you can find on YouTube under '14 wolves were released into Yellwstone and what happens next is astonishing!', demonstrating how these animals change our ecosystem. It was about those fourteen wolves making such a huge impact such as animals that were not there for a long time came BACK such as beavers, birds along with new birds, and the plants that used to grow around certain parts of the forest regrew in those areas again.

Another example those wolves were a huge success was how they maintained the deer population. But even in our national parks these animals are endangered. Back in 2012, a gray wolf known as O-Six was killed by a hunter and she was later known as "The Most Famous Wolf". There is a book called, "American Wolf: A Story of Survival and Obsession in the West" that talks about the wolf biologists and their research about O-Six before her time of her death. Once again, how are we going to protect these animals from our species, humans.

In conclusion, this planet isn’t just OUR planet, this planet is shared among every living creature and plant. The same way every animal shares this planet with their own kind, we should be doing the same. These animals aren’t as different as us, only the real difference is the instincts and we know how to communicate with words. But these animals care for each other just like some of us care for each other. We should stop trying to take away natural resources and find other ways, a healthier way to get our resources without damaging other resources. We should respect every land and sea that is on this planet such as no more littering. Littering has also caused issues for the wild life, but yet we keep a blind eye on that fact. We should be paying more attention to our surroundings instead of being like horses with blindfolds and act as though our planet isn't suffering with us.

Good luck throughout your Presidential campaign.

Sincerely,

Trinity Shadow
