House of Commons is to be recalled back after disastrous Conservative Conference in Birmingham. It was indeed, a chaotic, Conservative party conference coming on the heels of Chancellor Kwarteng's mini-budget.

When the mini-budget was announced it created a financial storm. The Bank of England stepped in to save pensions funds. Kwarteng's plan is to reverse the hike in national insurance. This was brought in by Mr. Kwarteng's predecessor and Tory Leadership challenger Rishi Sunak. Mr. Kwarteng's budget would have only benefited the top 1% in the UK. Hoping this would cause a trickle-down benefit to the poorest in our society. However, this part of Mr. Kwarteng's mini-budget has been scrapped thanks to Labour and other opponents.

The House of Commons is suspended for two weeks every year. During that time the political parties can hold their annual conferences.

Parliament is expected to meet sometime soon at 2.30 pm. It is expected Kwasi Kwarteng will be at the dispatch box to be questioned about the content of his mini-budget. No doubt, it will be a brusk and stormy affair.

Mr. Kwarteng had better come out with all guns blazing as he faces his questioners and accusers. Rachel Reeves, Labour's Shadow Chancellor, will relish the chance to challenge Mr. Kwarteng. It is expected his mini-budget will cost £43 billion to implement.

Rachel Reeves did not appear to pull her punches over Mr. Kwarteng's financial plans. She will go in for the kill holding the former Business Secretary under Johnson to account. Labour realise that the Tories have given them ammunition to keep blazing away. So Labour said they want to "step up the pressure" on the Truss administration.

Rachel Reeves said this chaos the Tories are facing is of their own doing. Created in Downing Street which in the long run is of no benefit to businesses or family budgets.

Meanwhile, Truss and her cabinet of chaos are trying to head off a civil war. Many Conservatives are arguing that benefits should be raised in line with inflation. They have seen the polls and fear losing their seats if a general election were called tomorrow.

Ms. Reeves went on to call the Tories "architects of chaos". Also "not one apology" for this disastrous budget to struggling businesses and families.

The Conservatives are in a mess of their own making and deservedly so. The one group of people who will have the backs of the Tories is the elderly. Who by and large voted for Brexit and mostly have private pensions. The kind of people who voted for Truss who seemed to embody Thatcherite principles. Hence we have live Liz truss ladies and gentlemen. However, her opponent and fierce critic Rishi Sunak could make a comeback. So could Boris Johnson but that's another story.

I am certainly no fan of Wishy Washy Rishi he is at the end of the day a Tory. Sunak is a controversial figure but he was right about one thing. Ordinary people will be paying the cost of this mini-budget for years to come.

Relationships between Prime Ministers and Chancellors can go from friends to enemies. How must Kwarteng be feeling as he works away at 11 Downing Street? Knowing his boss Liz Truss threw him "under the bus" to quote Penny Mordaunt. Blaming him for the blundering mini-budget.

When questioned about the budget she was quick to blame her chancellor. Saying Mr. Kwarteng took the decision as to what the contents of the budget would be. However, with Truss being Prime Minister, she must have given her agreement. Unless as Labour say we do indeed have a dysfunctional government. Where there is no communication and everyone is making it up as they go along.
