Boris Johnson is not a cuckoo in the Tory Nest

Boris Johnson is a typical Tory. The Downing Street party scandal may unseat him and he may take with him the Tory party and the UK. It has also dispelled the myth that the police enforce the law impartially.

It was clear over a year ago that the Tories believe they are above the law. Despite the many failings of the Tory government and their efforts to turn the UK into an elected dictatorship they held a firm lead in the polls, aided by a stubborn refusal by the official opposition to well, OPPOSE.

Now it looks like The Boris may be undone and deposed as party leader because of a party. It also looks like even if he goes he will take his party and possibly the UK with him,.

If The Boris is deposed as leader of the Tory party and does not, As Prime Minister, call a general election it won’t be long before media hacks and lightweight Tory MPs begin claiming The Boris is not a typical tory, never represented the Tory party and “lessons have been learned”.

The truth is the Boris is the prototype tory. He has been described as, among other things, a misogynistic narcissistic liar – and that is only in polite society. In reality almost the entire Parliamentary Tory Party match the Boris like a 3d printed replica. The only difference is that The Boris is, as Prime Minister, in the spotlight, and does not bother to hide his behaviour – and why should he, it has served him well so far and it is likely he will weather this crisis.

The Boris is a skilled, ruthless and self centred politician, He reached this post after losing by winning the 2016 referendum and seeing Theresa May installed as Prime Minister before him. If any one can survive a crisis like this it is The Boris.

He is unpopular with Tory MPs because of a staff party (perhaps more then one) held in Downing Street last Christmas that he claims not to have known about. Unfortunately he spent a week denying it ever happened, until a video surfaced showing an advisor giggling about breaking the law.

Ignorance is unlikely to be an excuse in the mind of the public or Tory MPs but a week is a long time in politics and tory MPs will be calculating whether ditching The Boris would increase or decrease their chances of reelection. Some new Red Wall MPs might consider they would lose whatever they do and decide to take him down with them. Others might feel they are best placed to survive by staying on a sinking ship and backing up the stinking… government.

How might he survive? Some staffers will be disciplined, an advisor has already resigned and someone will doubtless swear that he was never there. If a video surfaces showing he was there it will have been a lookalike hired for the occasion who has now returned to the EU/Turkey ans cannot be traced.

Nevertheless the air of one rule for the plebs and no rules for the elites remains and leaves a stench so intense that many Tory voters cannot ignore it even with noses pinched shut, odour eating masks and bouquets of sweet smelling poor bashing benefit cuts.

If The Boris survives till 2022, and the Christmas Recess is close, he will have survived this crisis, a crisis that may have been created to distract from the dictatorial legislative changes he is pushing through including the criminalisation of almost all forms of peaceful protest, elimination of judicial review and the ability to deprive even native born British citizens of their citizenship.

The Police and Protests Bill will mean that only the homeless will be able to protest – 12 months free lodging in HM Prisons and paying of the unlimited fine at £1 a month from any money they get might even be an incentive for some.

The Party has however shown not only that the Tories think they inherited the divine right of kings – a right that goes back to Babylon but was allegedly removed in the 17th century along with a king’s head, but also that the police are reluctant to investigate members of the government. But we knew this when the police claimed there was insufficient evidence to investigate claims of selling peerages for donations to the party. We may also want to revisit the “Labour” “Opposition” party leaders decision there was insufficient evidence to prosecute Jimmy Saville

Scottish Tories silent on Downing Street Party

Scotland has a chance to escape this tarpit of sleaze. Perhaps the SNP will be enough of a pain in the proverbial that the UK will decide to throw us out of the UK. The Soviet Union after all managed to dissolve itself with relatively little dissent.
