An Open Letter To Racist People

Your "final solution" was neither final or a solution. Here is what humanity must do to unite.

I woke up the other day to a wall of text from a National Socialist who puts way too much stock in race. This was my response.

I don't think our system is broken. I think we have the one of the, if not the, greatest system mankind has ever produced. Those folks we call the Founding Fathers knew a thing or two, but I do think there are aspects of our nation that haven't been completely worked out yet though, and one of those is letting the ultra rich play God. Gerrymandering, banging underage teenagers à la Seinfeld, getting away with rape à la C-Lo Green, using media to blatantly lie through the use of destructive propaganda, the ultra rich don't see any color but green, and that color lets them get away with heinous crimes against humanity. One of those crimes is keeping the poor stupid, thus keeping them "poor" or, at the very least "ghetto rich". When I say the poor, I mean poor, regardless of race.

In the same sense that most people don't ever escape the trailer park, most people don't escape the ghetto either. If you can brainwash someone when they are young enough, you are more likely to have them for life. In this sense, the "trailer park" or "ghetto" does the work of the rich man for them, because generally speaking, a child's fellow co-inhabitants will help to define that child's personality. So, anything and everything from keeping schools defunded to promoting lifestyles of crime to exaggerating racism and its effects is implemented towards this end. When people see something outside of their world of financial devastation that reminds them of themselves, it often strikes an internal desire to change and better one's self; hope for a better life is created. The more you can see yourself associating with your superiors, the more likely one is to try and grow themselves to that level. This would explain why really beautiful females who happen to be dirt poor, white, black, latina and beyond, are either pregnant at 15 or escape the ghetto/trailer park so easily. When men (and lesbians) want you no matter where you go, it is easy to see yourself in whatever surroundings you choose.

I promoted rap shows during Obama's time as President. People who had never left the inner city (not even on a vacation or field trip or day trip or anything) had hope they could accomplish more. I saw it firsthand. Obama being black, and elevating himself to the highest office in the land, made poor black people, and especially young black people who happen to be poor, feel hope. They didn't feel they had chances until Obama came around. Of course, their belief was incorrect and their race wasn't the obstacle they believed it to be prior to Obama either, but perception is everything when it comes to results.

Many people argue the success of the white man, historically speaking, as evidence of superiority. I think it is evidence of environmental superiority. It is much easier to create a civilization in a lovely, Europeans landscape than it is the jungles of South America. I think China highlights this example well. Why did China have such an impressive history, but the people who eventually became the Vietnamese or Burmese not so much? Maybe it has something to do with the fact China has calm, fertile lands as opposed to a vicious jungle to house its residents?

Over generations and generations, people develop traits. Whether these traits are genetic, cultural or both, generally speaking, they are a product of that people's history. So regardless of why anybody is in the mess we are in now, we are in the mess now. Say you're right in your belief of the intellectual inferiority of black people (you aren't). I obviously don't agree with you, but let's say you are right, for the sake of argument. If black people are genetically inferior, what then? You'd never pull off genocide. Even if you could logistically, you'd lack public support, especially in an age of instantaneous, global communication. The flavor of racism leaves a bad taste in most people's mouths, and even if certain races are genetically inferior, as you claim, there are members of every single race who happen to be dumb as a doornail, and genius members of every single race as well. Even in a scenario where genocide is your best course of action, it is one that you could never convince people at large to go along with. If you could eradicate every single black man and woman on the planet, what would be next? The Puerto Ricans? The Mexicans? What race with the lowest test scores is up on the chopping block? Once the world was nothing but whites (or whites and Asians), what then? Do we start killing off the stupidest of those people too?

So, even in a world where you happen to be right about racism (which again, you aren't), what is next? Violence isn't going to solve your problems, so "what do?", as the kids like to say. I think it makes infinitely more sense to ensure people get equal opportunity to succeed. This nation doesn't have that yet. We may have it moreso than most, and yes, even those on the very bottom rung have a better chance of getting out than a poor person in Mexico or the Philippines for example, it's still not on par with those in more affluent neighborhoods. There are still many factors, many of whom are funded by the financial elite, which eradicate hope in the hearts of the poor.

Take your McDonald's milkshake machine data for example. If I'm 35 working at McDonalds, I'm going to have less hope than a man 25 who works at McDonalds. That 25 year old would have less hope of escape than a 15 year old too. In my years of travel, I find better fast food service (and a higher likelihood of the shake machine being available) in more affluent areas. Take my own personal paradise of Northwest Florida for example. Every single McDonalds, regardless of the neighborhood, has a mix of white, black and Latin employees. In fact, the racial mix doesn't seem to change depending on where I am. The only thing that changes is the average age of employee. In a rich area, most of the employees are teenagers, even the assistant managers. Usually there is one or two "adults" in charge for the store and that is it. In a poor neighborhood, most of the employees are much, much older. A person who has hope of escaping their fast food life is concerned about making money to save for their future and having a positive working experience to put on their resume. A person who believes they are stuck in their current position is more concerned with making the time go by quickly than they are excelling at their work. This isn't racial, it's economic.

But back to my main point, what if you were right? Because, in my mind, the solution to the problem of race is the same regardless if you are right or if I am right. A Pitbull can be one of the sweetest, most well behaved dogs in existence, or it can be a complete killer. This is largely due to environmental factors in the dogs life, especially in his puppy years. This is true for beasts in general, and is something animals have in common with human beings. They can be trained to work with humans, or they can go untrained, and work against humans.

GG Allin, a white man, was untrained, and therefore made his money by screaming to poorly written punk music, sexually assaulting random people and defecating on stage. Ben Carson, a black man, was trained and has accomplished more than you and myself combined. Creating systems which teaches the poor, trains them even, to be competent members of society would be a gamechanger, and is our only way out of the current class warfare we see destroying our nation (and others as well).

It didn't matter that Lassie was an inferior species, trainers had belief in her and were able to do some pretty amazing things. It didn't matter that Flipper was an inferior species, trainers had belief in her and were able to do some pretty amazing things. I think we can both agree that most white people in the 1920's had less faith in black folks than the trainers of the aforementioned animal actors had. It sounds cheesy, it makes me feel like a dirty hippie, but it is true; the world lacks love, empathy, compassion and acts of enablement. Unfortunately, those who claim to live their actions based upon love and compassion generally are narcissists incapable of either and are working through their own emotional shortcomings by identifying with others who they believe share their own inadequacies. Real empathy is when you give someone what they need, not what you think you would need if you were in their shoes. Narcissistic empathy is when you go loot a store because someone got shot by police. Real empathy is giving people the equality of opportunity. Narcissistic empathy is when you demand reparations for the actions of those who have been dead for generations instead of offering career training.

So, regardless of which of us is right, what is next? I say all humans are equal, regardless of race. You may not agree with that, but regardless, come up with another solution that isn't enabling all citizens of the United States to the same success? Genocide, using history as an example, never works. If your race truly is superior, they will rise to the top regardless if the other races have the same opportunities as you. If your race isn't superior, and they are all actually equal, then individuals who deserve it will rise to the top. Life, in and of itself, it unfair. Some of us are more attractive. Some of us are more athletic or make better lovers. Some men have to pay for sex, other men get paid by women for sex. Nothing will ever be equal for humans, but creating a system in which all those living under it have an equal chance to succeed, a chance mostly decided by their efforts and overall work ethic, is the only solution for a peaceful planet. We don't have that in America, and although we are close, arguably closer than most places, we aren't there yet. Let's go all the way.
