A Message To Pass To The Anti's

Back in 1968, an international law was created mandating seat belts on airplanes. If you don't like wearing a seatbelt and refuse to abide by the seatbelt rule, you do not fly. It is as simple as that.

Seatbelts for automobiles have been bought into law in various countries beginning in the 1970s. Initially, this began with lap belts that graduated to three-point belts - over the shoulders and clipping into a lap belt. There are now 28 countries around the world with compulsory seat belt laws, most of them, western countries.

Motorcycle helmets became compulsory in many countries including Canada, the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Britain, and most European countries. Over forty percent of countries now have established compulsory helmet wearing after research has indicated helmets have reduced the death rate in motorcycle crashes by 30%.

Then there are passports. To enter any country around the world requires a passport. To acquire a passport, you have to provide certain confidential information. Don't want to provide that information? Fine. You don't get a passport and you don't travel. Coupled with passports is a requirement in many countries to have proof of vaccination for many transmittable diseases before gaining entry. These include the following most common;

Hepatitis B.

Japanese encephalitis.

Meningitis vaccines.

Rabies.

Tick-borne encephalitis.

Tuberculosis (TB)

Yellow fever.

These all require proof of vaccine. In other words a type of vaccine passport.

This leads to the subject of Covid Passports. Many governments are either implementing or considering implementing a passport for citizens who have the common sense to be vaccinated against the Covid virus. As a result of the publicity surrounding this very necessary public health move, a small but vociferous anti-vaxx, anti-mask movement has arisen. I call them peanut brains.

Their position is that masks and vaccine passports are infringing on their human rights and their privacy. This is total BS. Most of these people hold driver's licenses. Many of them travel and therefore, require passports. If they travel to third-world countries, they require a vaccination. All these people who live in North America require a Social Insurance Number. No SIN number, no benefits. Do you want to fly a plane? You need a pilot's license. Plus, you need to show a certificate of health. What if you are married with a young family and need life and sickness insurance? All insurance companies want to know just about every detail of your life. Do you smoke? Do you drink alcohol? How is your driving record? Been nailed for a DUI? What is the health history in your family? Your mother? Your father? Your siblings? What medications do you take? Have you been treated for mental illness? Are you planning on leaving the country for an extended period of time? Are you employed in a hazardous occupation? Do you engage in hazardous sports? All these and more are questions asked by insurance providers.

Refuse to answer any of these questions because you consider them an invasion of your privacy? Fine. You just don't get insurance.

Sorry folks, your privacy has been invaded since the time you were born. And, you are now opening your privacy up even further by engaging in social media. Apply for a job and many companies and organizations check you out on your Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok, and Instagram accounts, where you have quite happily and openly exposed many aspects of your private life for all the world to see.

Forget the privacy BS. You don't have any. You quite willingly gave that up long before Covid came on the scene.

Oh. You think the Covid vaccine is a conspiracy by big government in conjunction with Bill Gates to take over your mind and your soul? You need to take a serious mental self-check. All a vaccine is, is a vaccine, a way of protecting humans from viruses and diseases that are spread by human contact or by animal to human contact.

Many ultra-conservatives and evangelical christians and just plain dumb pecker-heads refuse to follow the advice of health experts when it comes to COVID-19. They don't want to wear masks or social distance for reasons ranging from total mistrust of government to religious dogma. They demand life go back to normal (whatever that is), and yet they won't do the most important thing when it comes to putting down the pandemic - get the damn vaccine.

You have to excuse normal people like me and my family and friends if we are at-the-end-our -ropes, pissed off with what we consider selfish, stupid, ignorant, q-anon believing, conspiracy believing, half baked morons who take advantage of science in their lives when it suits them and dismiss science as fake when it doesn't.
