Bio
I love writing and I think it shows in my posts. I also enjoy feedback, particularly of the constructive kind. Some people think I am past my "best before date" but if that is true, it just means I have matured.

I Am Outraged and Filled With Rage
I took some time off from writing this afternoon to watch a video clip on Ukraine that popped up on one of my feeds. It was a news program and two reporters were covering the sickening deaths, rapes and violation of human beings at the hands of retreating Russian forces in the town of Bucha. I am outraged at the actions of these Russians forces under orders from Vladimir Putin.

Sleep, Perchance To Dream
I have made just two resolutions for 2022, one for me and the other pertaining to the results from resolution one. The first is to attempt to overcome the particular form of insomnia I suffer from. I do not have an issue with falling asleep; it's staying asleep that is the problem.

Milly
The little town of Maple Bay was as run down as any town could be in the time following the recession. There were a few businesses still open such as Gus's Hardware and Milly's Cafe. The latter served the best breakfasts for miles, not that Milly's had a lot of competition.

I Had A Heart Attack - Part 1
I am writing this article from a bed in the cardiac ward of my local hospital. They do not do surgery here; it is a diagnosis and pre-op ward. Patients are parked here while waiting for a bed to free up in one of the city hospitals that carry out heart surgery. I have been diagnosed with arterial heart blockage and require quadruple bypass heart surgery. A scan of my heart revealed a total of 9 blockages ranging from 40% up to 90%.

We Are Screwed - Or Are We?
Humans first appeared on the earth scene around 7 million years ago, give or take. This is when early humans along with the chimpanzee, diverged from a common ancestor. In these past million of years, there have been approximately 26 different humanoid groups living and dying off at various times. We, homo sapiens, are the survivors. Our nearest cousins, the chimps are still here but only at our leaving.

Boneheads, Knuckle Heads and Generally stupid People
There are many, many adults of all ages who live on this beautiful little blue planet who still believe in the Easter bunny, Santa Claus, John F. Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA and COVID 19 is a hoax and was created by the Chinese to subjugate the rest of the world.

Smartphones Are Not Smart
Smartphones are not smart. They are dumb. All they are, are portable phones with various applications built-in, most of which we don't need. There is nothing smart about them at all. They have to be programmed to provide the services to us that we use them for. The actual definition of smart is: “having or showing a quick-witted intelligence”.
