A Better Economy

Some ideas for it

I never went to business school, so I pretty much know nothing about economics nor do I have any love for being part of a system that would rather find new ways to create poverty than combat it. My mathematical skills also suck royal (I failed basic math three times).

But what I am proposing are some ideas worth thinking about. So that's it, I am just an idea man.

Tax the Churches

This is a rather obvious one now isn't it?

I am not suggesting that all churches nationwide be taxed, just ones like you see in the photo above, along with churches that are known to spread pro-Trump rhetoric.

The reason I say not all churches is because there are Churches like mine (Grace Lutheran in St. Paul) that spend more time devoted to charity and humanity's best interests rather than the crap you are all used to hearing.

If they want to spread their hate, ignorance and other useless crap, they can then do so without their tax exemption status.

Tax the rich

Again, another idea that needs that clearly needs to become a reality.

The nation's top 1 percent pay virtually nothing in taxes and when it comes to tax time, they hide them in offshore accounts. Meanwhile, the rest of us get stuck with the bill.

Why is it such a hard concept to understand?

Here are some ideas for how the 1 percent should pay.

If they ship jobs overseas, they should be fined $500,000,00 for doing so.

If they hire cheap labor, they should pay the unions they aren't hiring $1,000,000,00 a month.

If they close down their facilities in towns that need them, then they owe the town $1,000,000,000.

Whatever products they buy abroad to sell here should cost more than what they buy & sell here.

Forgive Student Loans

Again, what is so hard about this concept?

Betsy DeVos needs to be told to go to hell and forgive student loans.

There are suggestions from those in politics who say that student loan forgiveness will be better for the economy and with the Corona-virus making things harder this would help.

One Time Mortgage Payment

The banks royally screwed over a lot of people back in 2008, so they don't get to complain about this idea.

The idea for a one-time mortgage payment is where you either have good, bad or no credit, and if you can make the initial payment, the house is yours for good.

Sure, you would have to pay for utilities, but when it comes to the house itself, just the one payment.

Corona-virus relief

The moron of a President of The United States and his Republikkkan lapdogs royally screwed up the economy over this one.

The Senate has been delayed in handling the Corona-virus Stimulus Bill that would help the economy, but as usual Moscow Mitch wants it to benefit the big businesses rather than the American people themselves, so the patriotic Democrats aren't introducing the bill until the Senate agrees that it will benefit the American people.

Why can't the House just pass this damn bill without bringing it to the Senate? This is an emergency and it needs to be dealt with IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More jobs for those in the Liberal Arts field

I can't stress this point enough.

There are jobs for people in: law, business, science, medicine, criminology, technology and even general education.

But what about those of us who have no such degrees?

While I do enjoy writing posts here and sharing my thoughts with you the readers, I don't make as much as I would hope to (not being desperate for tips here, I am just stating a fact).

I have a Bachelor's Degree in History with a Minor in Philosophy. While I have been looking for jobs, it's not an easy find. So you can see that I am one among many looking for work that befits college grads.

Conclusion

The economy is not going to get any better even if Trump is thrown out of office along with the Republican controlled Senate.

The American people need relief from their economic woes.

We can do better.

So why can't we?
