Riccardo: Finding His Voice
It's a new day in fashion, Phoebe left, Hedi came and Versace was sold: very few things have stayed the same and that includes the one hundred and 62-year-old London staple that is Burberry.
A Shade of BlaqPublished 5 years ago in StyledWhy Designer Clothes Are so Expensive
Can a luxury brand really raise prices on a striped cotton shirt just because of the label on it? This type of question about why designer clothes are so expensive has been left unanswered in the fashion industry for decades. There are some pieces of designer clothing which have an understandably higher price tag, because the design is unique or the material is super rare. Alternatively though, we see simple designer t-shirts costing hundreds of dollars, and we begin to wonder why? Designer clothes are so expensive for a variety of reasons, and understanding the fashion industry is the first step to getting to the bottom of it all.

I Took Diane von Furstenberg's "Building a Fashion Brand" MasterClass and Here's What I Learned
This post contains affiliate links, meaning a small commission is earned if you sign up to Masterclass. Though most people would never guess it, I’ve always dreamt about being a fashion designer. I’ve often mulled over the idea of starting my own tee shirt line, modifying jeans for a living, or just adding extra embellishments to my gear.

I'm already missing summer! Such a beautiful display of clothing pieces, props, color use & inspiration at this year's Spring’s & Summer's collection! We're now in the Fall-Winter Season collection. I’ve already seen a couple of collections and I'm already late in giving my reviews for them. Just recently I discovered the spring-summer 2019 collection dropped just a few months ago but here we go still!
Mrs. LearningPublished 6 years ago in Styled10 Avant Garde Designers You Need to Know
Avant garde designers break the rules of what clothing is supposed to be, throwing design books for beginners to the wayside as they revolutionize the industry. When done right, it should shake the world that it is commenting on, using unlikely materials and technical skill to create wearable art. To the untrained eye, the avant garde may appear to be anti-fashion; but to those in the know, it’s far ahead of the times.

Ossiana TepfenhartPublished 6 years ago in StyledThe 10 Most Expensive Fashion Labels
Fashion, if nothing else, has become a major indicator of who you are and what you're about. A person who doesn't really care about appearances will typically opt for comfy sweats or plain black clothing. People who are eccentric will often wear clothing that matches that look.

The Lexicon of Street Culture
As the bad-boy of fashion is increasingly co-opted by the luxury market, it’s perhaps important to remind ourselves of streetwear's roots, intrinsic values, and the man whom many say started the whole thing in the first place—Shawn Stussy.
10 Stores Like Dolls Kill
Dolls Kill is one of the most rapidly-growing online stores in the world, and it's growing because it's one of the only stores of its kind. It's a retail store that's edgy for the sake of being edgy, often going further than most fashion fans will dare to go.

New York Fashion Week Recap
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) began in 1943, and a lot has changed in the fashion world since then. Instead of holding each show on the same runway, they are placed all over New York City outside and on rooftops. Inclusivity is more important than ever, and the runway is the best place to represent that.
Totally Cool, Affordable, Ethical Fashion Brands
The Rana Plaza factory collapse in 2013 killed over 1,100 people and led to the indictment of 42 people for murder due to neglect of building and health code regulations. The effects of this disaster is still being felt across the fashion industry, but too few brands have a strong enough stance to only use factories with safe and fair working conditions. Here a few that you can get your fashion fix from and feel pretty damn good about yourself at the same time.
10 Indie Fashion Brands That Are LGBTQ-Friendly
Greetings and salutations. I'm someone who has worked in fashion before as both a model and a consultant. Though the fashion industry is known for being very welcoming of LGBTQ individuals, the mainstream fashion world still has a lot of work to do in order to be fully equal.
