My Rangers City Connect Outfit Reveal

Showing off my outfit that is the definition of Texas baseball pride

By Mark Wesley Pritchard Published 6 months ago • Updated 6 months ago • 3 min read

Greetings, Rangers fans! The day is finally here! After so much anticipation, the Texas Rangers will debut their new City Connect uniforms during their first of the three-game series against the Athletics at Globe Life Field. If you haven't read my reaction to the release of the uniforms, you can read the full story down below. I bought my City Connect gear from Rally House and two of the three items of clothing will be featured in this story. I'm wearing the City Connect Crew Socks (not pictured) to go with my outfit. I'll post a link below of the exact socks I bought.

Let's start with Rangers City Connect hat. First and foremost, I'm so glad that red is back. The "T" is in honor of the Rangers origin in 1972, the year they rebranded as the team we know today. The weaving inside the "T" is excellent and stands out well. I have eight 59Fifty flat-billed Rangers hats, but as for this hat, now this is excellent craftmanship. The inside of the hat is perfection (not shown). The charro-inspired pattern, Papel picado, and the phrase ¡Viva Tejas! with the charro-inspired pattern surrounding it is truly the definition of what Texas is about.

Finally, let's talk about my shirt. Mitchell & Ness created this amazing shirt and they're one of my favorite brands, by the way. It says Tejas Beisbol and has the Rangers logo in the middle. Also, ¡Viva Tejas! is on the bottom. I have a plethora of Rangers t-shirts in my closet and drawers, dating back to early 2024. I'll write and publish a story highlighting my favorite Rangers shirts in a different story.

On the day the Rangers released their City Connect uniforms, the reactions were mixed. Nevertheless, fans were still willing to buy their share of City Connect gear. I'll be wearing my City Connect gear again whenever I attend my first Rangers game as an adult sometime this summer.

This item isn't City Connect related, but to make my outfit have that Texas feel, I wore my cowboy boots. I'm in need of a new pair, but that'll have to wait. I'm wearing my City Connect socks inside of my boots. Whether you want to wear your outfit with a pair of sneakers or in my case, cowboy boots, there's no wrong way of showing love to your team. I'm a bit of a baseball fashion aficionado of some sorts. I purchase a Rangers jersey once every two to three years. I'll purchase a City Connect jersey of my favorite player soon. I purchase a Rangers t-shirt several times a year. Finally, as far as the flat-billed hats I own, I purchase two to three of them a year on average. As I've stated in my recent 59Fifty story, the flat-billed hats cost anywhere from $35 to $55. It may be a bit pricey to you, but if you can afford one or more of them, they go well with any outfit. I wear a hat anytime I go out, because I want to look good in one.

If you were born and/or raised in Texas, you're a Texan forever. It doesn't matter if you're currently residing in another state, like I have for nearly 20 years, you're always a Texan no matter what. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Once a Texan, always a Texan and I'll always be a Texan first. Whether you spell this wonderful state with an X or J, no matter how you say it, the Rangers City Connect uniform as well as the gear I'm wearing in this photo paying homage to Mexican culture is the true definition of what Texas is about. Finally, I made a hype video for your viewing pleasure, so please check it out on YouTube. Give it a like, leave a comment, and subscribe to my page. I really appreciate it.
