Everyone is aware of the gorgeous variety of options available in women's Indian fashion, but the Indian fashion world also has amazing options for men. Indian men's clothing is comfortable and versatile, with many options for various occasions. They incorporate distinct ethnic designs, fabrics, and cuts from various parts of India, but are typically toned down to appeal to masculine fashion sensibilities. Previously, Indian men's clothing was only considered appropriate for special occasions such as weddings or festivals. Ethnic fashion has now permeated every aspect of life, and you can find men's clothing from India in office wear, daily wear, and party wear.

However, there is no denying that a wedding is one of the most important occasions when Indian clothing for men is worn. Because it is a time to celebrate Indian culture, it is customary to dress in traditional Indian attire for such occasions. Sherwanis are the most popular groom's outfits, and when paired with the appropriate light coloured salwars, they look truly luxurious and regal. The selection is outstanding, with a wide range of fabrics, patterns, cuts, colours, embellishments, and designs to choose from. Silk, satin, brocade, and velvet are just a few of the high-end fabrics available; they come in a variety of colours, ranging from traditional beige, gold, and red to more daring maroons and oranges. They are appropriately decorative for such an auspicious occasion and can be tailored to perfection, as they are embellished with traditional Indian work such as Kundan, Resham, Zari, and Cut Beads.

Indian traditional clothing for parties

There are numerous types of Indian traditional clothing available for parties, special occasions, and festivals. For these types of occasions, the kurta-pyjama combo is probably the most popular and well-liked. These are stylish and comfortable and come in formal, semi-formal, and casual styles. Cotton, khadi, and art silk are popular casual fabrics, while silk, satin, brocade, and velvet are popular formal and semi-formal fabrics. Necklines come in a variety of styles, ranging from the traditional round neck to fashionable v-necks and collar styles. Kurtas can also be paired with a variety of Indian scarves known as dupattas, which are specifically designed to match Indian traditional clothing and fit with men's outfits.

Another men's wear classic that has been adapted by many high-end designers and can be worn for a variety of formal occasions is the Dhoti-Sherwani or Dhoti-Kurta over cotton vest combination. It is a unique fashion-forward choice that will satisfy both the most fashionable and the most traditional! It is especially appropriate for festivals and ceremonies! The Pathani suit is another timeless option. These are loose and comfortable, making them ideal for casual wear. They are typically made of soft and breezy materials such as linen or cotton and are subtly embroidered with beautiful patterns.

Aside from the traditional options, there are many other options that add a modern twist to classic outfits. Nehru jackets, suits, shirts, and trousers combine dashing western silhouettes with eye-catching Indian designs.

Latest trends in Indian men’s fashion

Many people consider sherwanis, kurtas, pyjamas, and/or dhotis to be traditional Indian dresses, and as such, these items have timeless appeal. The styles that have emerged as new crowd favourites, on the other hand, are more modern and experimental. Items such as the stylish Nehru Jacket have transcended the Indian context and become internationally recognised and loved fashion items. Designer Indian men's clothes seen on ramps and runways frequently feature interesting innovations and combinations. The dhoti suit, for example, perfectly combines the elegance of Indian traditions with sharp western styles.

Similarly, modern Indo Western kurtas, sherwanis, and pyjamas are more subtle than their traditional counterparts and can be worn for both formal and casual occasions. Men's fashions occasionally mirror women's styles; for example, the Pathani suit for men is currently popular, while the female version, the Pakistani Salwar kameez, is also popular. The revival of khadi and plain kurta styles with handloom lungi is another intriguing trend. The plain kurta and scarf look is a popular casual outfit, and khadi and its many variations are used to create a wide range of stylish Indian men's clothing.

Men's accessories are typically simple and minimal, but in the case of Indian fashion, the options are numerous. Adding a men's dupatta or scarf to an outfit, whether casual or formal, is a simple yet effective way to accessorise. A wedding sherwani must be worn with traditional items such as the Kantha and turban. Furthermore, kamarbandh, kilangis, and tikkas are regional accessories that have gained widespread popularity. Mojaris for men are embellished with beautiful designs and motifs and go well with both formal sherwanis and semi-formal kurtas.
