Being Well Liked

BEING WELL LIKED
She had always been well liked. She watched make-up and hair tutorials online and learned not only which make-up to order but how to apply it for many different looks. To make herself seem shy, quiet and demure. There were many different tutorials for that look and if that was what people wanted to see, the kind of person they “liked”, she could perfect it. Glowing ivory foundation with a subtle rose on the cheeks, lips and eyes with perhaps a bit of gold dusted on those lids of her eyes. Soft, moist barely tinted shades of muted burgundy and beige with a smidge of slightly glossy pink on her lips with a bit of beeswax gloss for a matte look with a gentle shine. Nothing too shiny. That was when you had a different look in mind. Her lashes were always mink of course. She would apply them individually so she could space them out just right to open up her eyes in a look of sweet, slightly sensual, surprise.
With apps downloaded on all of her devices, she could pull up a look with the touch of a screen or click of a button. There were also of course the tutorials for hairstyles. She could just put in the idea for a certain event she might be attending or how she would dress and look if she were in Italy, Paris or even New York. She would get pages of different hairstyles. They included information on the products she needed and instructions, shown to her via video. She kept her hair short, naturally because she could always use extensions for longer designs. Then came the outfits.
She would likewise choose a website that put different clothes, accessories, jewelry and shoes together in the latest styles of the fashion she would choose. All she had to do was click and she would receive everything she needed to create different styles, looks and of course MOOD. She did have to fill out questionnaires changing her chosen look and of course the different event she planned to look as if she were attending from time to time, but she had quite the knack for just getting it all just right. She was always well informed on the best devices and programs to have. She had the best. With top-of-the-line filters, lighting aspects and even background designs of different locations or simply colors, shapes and even flowers or bubbles. She was very happy and very well liked. She received audio notifications on all of her devices every time her photo was liked or loved. She smiled when she heard these bells and dings. The fulfilled her, completely.
She kept very good records of all of her very best looks. She would document styles, filters, lighting and brands she used to complete each look because whenever she “posted” she would include a hash-tag of the actual companies that made these products. That way when someone clicked on that tag on another site, they would also come across pictures of her. She did these companies a favor in a way because she was so well liked and known and she was wearing and using their products! It brought them more business and eventually these “brands” would contact her asking her to be their “brand ambassador” and she received all of her make-up, clothes or anything that had to do with her best designs from these companies for free.
GNS, girl next door, was a very popular look and she could make GNS look as innocent, naïve, sensual, or even sexual as it took. Whatever got her the most likes for brands that she was promoting is the way she would go, lighter or heavier the make-up, hair color, style and outfit, were all put together through her apps and natural talent. She also coordinated many bags and boxes of make-up, hair products with their corresponding outfit, accessories and shoes, placed in different closets and rooms of her apartment. She was very organized and very good at just knowing how to make everything simpler for her as this was a full-time job and of course a lot of work. She could do anything, be anyone if she wanted to and she had so many friends in her contacts lists that one time the platform that she was on crashed. She could get a little sexy too. HGL, hot girl look, was a FAVORITE last month and she got lots of “likes”, hearts and thumbs ups along with marriage proposals, pledges from other girls that they would be “best friends forever” and her life was definitely one to envy.
She kept a very detailed account of the best likes she would get for each of her looks, settings and what she would be doing in the photos that she posted of these different versions of herself on her social media sites. She would never repeat the exact same look twice as there were many different ways to achieve a certain “type” or look depending on what she was trying to put across to others at the time. Rows and rows of thick black journals lined the shelves of a safe she ordered especially for them. She wrote everything down in these journals. No one was ever actually allowed inside of her apartment because she could not take a risk in anyone finding her little black books. When she started running low, she would simply order more from her favorite website. She liked this brand because she once received a gift of a planner with the theme from that movie “The Wizard of OZ” with a black journal inside. She streamed the movie and when Dorothy went from black and white to color and got those ruby slippers, she was more beautiful and very well liked that all of Oz presented her with gifts. Dorothy was even envied by the evil witch. But naturally, her favorite part of the movie was in the Emerald City. Horses changed colors and when Dorothy could match her dress color and her eyes! She was smitten and only that journal could hold the secrets to why she was envied and so well liked. Likewise, she never included photos of her journals. She didn’t need everyone trying to be just like her.
She would complete her looks with high quality photographs and would later post these photos on all of her social media accounts. But before she could “post” she still had work to do. She would then find a sultry, smart, dreamy, innocent, playful or “insightful” quote on her quote app to match what the sort of person who dressed such a way would say. Photographs of her were filtered and colored. Her backgrounds, quotes and hashtags would all be applied to the photo and then she would click “post”, “publish”, or “share” depending on the social media platform. She then made herself available for millions to discover. She would never have to sit and wait for the dings and bells to sound off, notifying her of how well she was liked. That happened immediately. Alarms were set for meal times; restroom breaks and she always had her premade gourmet meals sent to her. If she was going to include eating a meal in a photo, she could order the most recognized dishes from any country or place where she set the background of her photo to be. Bells and chimes alerted her to even drinking the correct amount of water daily, taking her supplements, and getting the absolute correct amount of sleep at night.
Once again, since she did become the brand ambassador for so very many products, companies and even individuals were always sending her things. Clothes to wear and make-up and jewelry to try, money and even trips. One day a shoe brand that used only hemp, not fancy, but comfortable, that she wore to showcase a casual, laid back, yet still wispy and dream-like look won her a prize of $20,000 USD and a destination vacation that was to be a surprise. She loved surprises. All of her previous destination vacations were beautiful backdrops and settings for her styles or “MOOD” captions depicting her “perfect life”. The only thing that she was told was that the destination would be tropical, so she unlocked the cabinet that held her journals and chose only three to take with her.
The vacation was to be only three days and in these journals were her top-rated looks, quotes and designs. These were the looks that made her so well liked. The trip was completely paid for and the $20,000 was for her own spending, which she would have immediately transferred into her online pay sites. She rarely spoke to anyone only to develop looks and “MOOD”’s to describe what she wanted, liked, or disliked. The private plane was luxurious and during the six-hour flight, she was able to upload 500 pictures to her various social media sites. She had her journal marked “plane rides” with simple outfits, make-up, and filter and lighting changes to show the multifaceted international person she could be within the few blinks of a shutter in the blink of an eye.
When the plane finally landed and she walked down the stairs, of course wearing the shoes she was sent by the company paired with a bohemian yet elegantly casual outfit, make-up that looked like she wasn’t wearing make-up and noticed that the shoes went perfectly with the pink sand she was standing on. She stopped momentarily to take a selfie, with the plane with the airline name printed across the side when she noticed that her phone was completely dead and she had fully charged it before she arrived. She hoped they had their own photographers taking photos. This was something that happened before and she didn’t like but she went along with this. A handsome young man appeared to take her luggage as they entered the hotel. She immediately noticed that they obviously had a power loss as her hair began to plaster itself to her cheek. She sweetly, sincerely smiled as she gently took her finger and placed the hair back in place. There were quite a few people already there. They were gathered around talking to one another but not a single person even looked at her. They only looked at one another. She felt a pang of something she couldn’t quite describe but brushed it off and continued to follow behind the man with her bags. She gathered they would be headed to her room. She couldn’t wait to freshen up and pull the extra power source just in case of a power loss in order to charge her camera and set up her first photos to post. In order to get where they were going the man led her through an entryway outside. She heard dings, and bells got very excited and put on her best “oh, you got me” smile of surprise. Yet when she turned toward the sound, she saw dogs running toward a group of men who were presenting the dogs with silver bowls of food. She stood in that spot unmoving as the man with her luggage touched her elbow gently to get her attention. She heard the dings and bells and nothing happened. Not a camera click and not even a cool breeze to comfort her in the unrelenting heat. She was paralyzed. All she could do was watch in amazement as the animals greedily consumed the contents of the bowls. She strained to look and saw what looked identical to a beef dish she was served in the room of her chateau in Paris last year. The meal she ate daintily putting each morsel into her mouth slowly, with her fork and knife at the same time, as the French do.
