Afghanistan is a country with a beautiful past and an amazing future is it the same now?

After many years of fighting with terrorism, the country now seems to have given up. Afghan forces are surrendering en masse as the Taliban capture city after city at a staggering rate, raising concerns of a government collapse and leaving citizens to contend with the Taliban's harsh and violent demands. Afghan civilians in northern provinces who spoke to more than a dozen people - some trapped behind Taliban lines, others displaced to displacement camps - already report closed girls' schools, poor families forced to cook food for ravenous fighters, and young men pressured into joining the militant ranks. New arrivals to villagers have threatened violence to several people.

In rural villages, Afghan government officials brokered a series of deals between militants and some of the country's lowest ranking officials before the impressive collapse of Afghanistan's military occurred Sunday. despites the 20 years of military training.

As Taliban militants moved into Kabul, Ashraf Ghani announced that they had won the war Mr. Ghani left the capital as the insurgents approached, then entered the city and took over the presidential palace, sealing a nationwide military victory in just 10 days. Afghanistan has been swept by the Taliban, with government forces collapsing without the support of the US military, which is withdrawing in accordance with a deadline set by President Joe Biden on August 31. Like with most of the other captured cities, the seizure of power came after government forces surrendered or retreated.

As a part of Joe Biden's orders, 1,000 additional US troops have been deployed to assist with the evacuation of embassy personnel and thousands of Afghanis who worked for American forces now in fear of Taliban reprisals. In the coming days, 6,000 people are expected in Kabul.

Mr. Ghani's government faced complete isolation following the insurgents' recent encroachments on the anti-Taliban strongholds of Mazar-i-Sharif and Jalalabad.

Several videos posted on pro-Taliban social media sites showed groups of heavily armed fighters in cities around the country waving white flags and greeting local residents. Residents of Kabul were already resigned to the Taliban taking power. Shopkeeper Tariq Nezami in Kabul said, "My only wish is that their return will lead to peace. This is all we want."

In recent weeks, tens of thousands of people have sought refuge in Kabul, where the overwhelming mood was that of fear and apprehension. From Kabul's presidential palace, a Taliban official claims the group is about to declare the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

It was the name of the country under the Taliban government that was overthrown by U.S.-led forces after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Due to a lack of authorization, he spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The Taliban has ordered its fighters to enter the Afghan capital Kabul to prevent looting after local police deserted their posts, a spokesman for the militant group said on Sunday.

According to Zabihullah Mujahid, President Ashraf Ghani carried out his departure from the country shortly after the statement by a leading Afghan peace envoy. In an official NATO statement on Sunday, the alliance said it was more urgent than ever to find a political solution to the Afghan conflict as the Taliban stood poised to capture Kabul.

It was reported in the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA)'s an update on Afghanistan Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict that 1,659 civilians were killed and 3,254 wounded, representing an increase of 47 percent over the same period last year.

The most important question is do they really want it if yes then why are they leavingthe country in search of a better place to live. why people are being killed. No one knows what is going to happen next all we can do is to pray for those who lost their lives and even those who are still struggling.
