Army Acronyms and Whatnot Vol. 9
The grand finale.

29OCT2021; 1801, FRI
It seems fitting that the final addition to this series would be typed up, proofread, and submitted on another R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) Friday while enjoying Hip Hop that more or less pays homage to the U.S. Military. Good times.
There's plenty to enlighten the public on and not a lot of time nor space in these paragraphs to immediately follow. Without further ado, one last cannon ball into the Army jargon (lingo) that I actually remember almost exactly a decade later:
Since that intro left me at exactly 88 words (at least on the rough draft), and that's a fav number of the neo-Nazis (there are likely still some lingering considering that "slavery really wasn't that long ago"), I figured I'd lead off with CCM, or Card Carrying Member (of the KKK [or Ku Klux Klan]). You do not, I say again, do NOT want "any smoke" from those individuals.
Now that's not to say that you wanna be "in their pockets" or anything. Just make sure you "pick your Battles wisely".
See what I did there? As previously stated (in an earlier Vol.), a Battle is not just a fight.
It can be short for "Battle Buddy" also. That is, of course, someone that you're more or less glad to have watching your back in a fight.
Lest I forget, there's a chance that you could get into a firefight (or shootout) and not be firing sim(ulation) rounds against your fellow Battles playing Op4 (or Opposition Forces). I've given this advice before, and I will continue to as long as people in this world are "bucking" (or shooting) at each other; if you have to "return fire", my peeps (peoples) and the late great Biggie Smalls strongly suggest that you, "Stay low and keep firing!"
If you're not letting off "live" rounds (that are ironically only meant to take lives for the most part) nor sims, then you're probably shooting "blanks" (pardon the pun), which are pretty much just all gunpowder (no lead or anything leaving the barrel to damage). A lot of the time, there's MILES (or Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System) gear involved with the "purps" (blanks have purple tips).
When your SME (or Subject Matter Expert) is finding the "headcount" unsat(isfactory) and/or his/her gortex (weatherproof uniform) isn't getting enough use in for him/her, he/she might could force and everyone else to "hurry up and wait" before the "cross-training" begins. If you are fresh from sniper school or something like that, then best believe you will be giving the rest of your Plt (or platoon) the "short & sweet" (or brief overview) until they all have "warm & fuzzies" (or a sense of familiarity).
My least fav military/prison term: chomo. It's short for "child molester".
If there's one group of people that I know for a fact that's generally hated by any and all... I can easily see them getting "flagged" (or [accidentally] having firearms pointed at them) left and right.
In all actuality, they'd likely have to keep their "4th point of contact", or their rear ends/heinies/tushes up against a wall as much as possible actually, once found out. Lest a "booty pirate" get an inclination to test the waters (see what I did there?).
Speaking of which tho, it's not uncommon at all for new guys to experience "pantsing"; whereas one minute, they're standing outside waiting for formation to begin immediately before someone rips their shorts down for everyone to get a quick glance at their underwear or what have you. Not fun.
Well, I'm most def over the minimum word count for non-poetic posts on this site and there's approximately 42 more terms in my brainstorming doc that I wanted include in this series. I'm just gonna list them below for those who might could wanna do some "extra credit" and whatnot.
At least a few are not included due to vulgarity and general sensitivities. As far as the rest of them go, please don't be afraid to "Do your Googles" and get an even deeper understanding of the U.S. Army.
For the love:
OCS; pogey bait; JCOS; the big Army; PID; tower of power; violence of action; convoy; hot LZ; brass; patrol cap; gat; common area; SOCOM; hot mic; blade running; foxtails; too easy; last four; Red Legs; OSUT; (kinetic awareness;) muscle memory; sensitive items; 550 (para)cord; morale; Chucks; PA; 100 mph tape; standard issue; CM; meat tags; intel; Jodie; Dear John letters; from the hip; grenade cooking; TA-50; zonk; psyops; Sand Hill; squared away; plan of action; roger; and DNC/D&C.
Pro tip: It would "behoove" you to type the word "Army" in the search bar along with the above (separate) terms. I just wanna take a quick moment to acknowledge any and all that sat/stood there and read all nine volumes of this series.
"You the real MVP (Most Valuable Player)!" Seriously tho, 30 trillion thx, and prayerfully ya learned something, remembered fond memories, and/or some combination of the two.
"Stay frosty", and keep praying for America folks. She needs it!

Prayerfully, someone somewhere gets something pertinent (re: useful) from this post. If that somebody's you, then please think about considering a Like/Tip/Share/Sub, and/or checking out some of my other posts.
Also, if you're in the market for an article of clothing or two, there's a link in my bio. Please don't think for a minute that I will be unappreciative of any all who "look out for the cookout".
TIA (Thx In Advance). Peaceful Tidings.
