Women

We realized

Too late

We set

The bar

Too low

This is why

We rage

We grieve

The loss of

A life where

We chose

A good man

Who would have

Cradled our face

In his hands

Looked into

our eyes

And said

I see you

I hear you

I love you

And then

Proceeded

To do

All of it

Without mockery

Or stinting

The offering

Being loved

By a man

Is always

About possession

Hold back

Your strength

Your desires

To consume

This is real

Erotic power

.

Women love women

In adoration

For the one

I wanted, but

Never had

I would

Let her eat

Crackers

In my bed

Because she

Would chew

With her

Mouth closed

And change

The sheets

If only I were

The crumb

On her lip

Pushed slowly

Into her mouth

She is

Unselfconscious

Relaxed

Seen

Loved

.

.

.

.

.

In honour of bi visibility day and for all the women I loved from afar.
