J. Miles has dropped the newest anthem for all girls, literally. ‘All the Girls’ was officially released on June 3rd, 2022. Written by Miles and produced by Tweak, the tastefully written disco-themed song stands as an anthem for every girl, not just the ones we see so commonly in media. For those still in the unknown, J. Miles is a rapper, actor and influencer hailing Denver, Colorado. Miles began his career in Tallahassee, then bringing it back to his home state years later. During such time he has released over 30 songs independently, with 4 of them reaching hundreds of thousands of streams and a key ‘Skeleton Man’ hitting over one million streams.

His newest track being ‘All the Girls.’ The lyrics of the song show the obvious tonality and praise to women in this track.

“I need everyone to know

Every single woman

From head to toe

From their hair to their nails

To their cuticles

Every single one of em is beautiful

No she don’t need makeup to be a queen

she ain’t gotta be shaven to be a queen

And she ain’t gotta be a size 3 to be a queen

Cuz when a thick girl asks then I’m taking a seat like byew

Yeah the Thick girls

And the thin girls

Yeah the short girls

And the tall girls

Yeah the black girls

And the white girls

Yeah the trans girls

Cuz they real girls

Yeah the Thick girls

And the thin girls

Yeah the Native girls

And the Arab girls

Yeah the Latin girls

And the Asian girls

Yeah the trans girls

Cuz they real girls”

A simple and stylish way of giving women the respect and love that they deserve. Shouting out every single type of body shape, race and ethinicity. An important stance that isnt often held in the rap community, but Miles has. The entire song is full of fun, happy lyrics that shows the love that is aims to. One of my personally favorite lines was, “Every single woman / From head to toe / From their / hair to their nails / To their cuticles / Every single one of em is beautiful.” A statement that everyone in our society needs to hear.

Personally I believe J. Miles ‘All the Girls’ has many of the same aspects of what we saw from the late-great Tupac’s lyrics. A respect and love for the women who made us, and made us who we are. Another sincere and wonderful shoutout is to the LGBTQ+ community. As both women and the trans communities are both under societal attack, J. Miles gives a powerful and welcomed testament to all girls, stating that they are “real girls.” Once again, a simple but incredibly powerful statement. Even the cover, composed of over 80 different women who submitted photos, was designed to give praise to all forms of girls. Every aspect of the song has been devised to give the proper praise to all women, not matter the race or body type. In a world where often one type of women is praised over another, advocacy for all women is truly what is important, and what J. Miles was able to present.

I couldn’t suggest this track more. With the many hateful, pointless songs created today, happy, healthy songs, will always be welcomed. If you’re a woman of any color, shape or size, this song is for you. If you’re a trans woman under attack by todays politics and society, this song is for you. And if you’re a man who must find their respect for women, this song is for you.
