Drag Superstar Océane Aqua-Black is Feeling F.A.B. for Pride

Montreal-based drag sensation and Canada’s Drag Race fan favorite Océane Aqua-Black is turning up the volume on Pride with her explosive new single, “Fake Ass Bitch (F.A.B.)", out today. Teaming up with fellow drag powerhouses Ra’Jah O’Hara, Kween Kong, and Silky Nutmeg Ganache, the track is a fearless celebration of authenticity, self-worth, and unapologetic confidence.

With thumping electro-pop production by acclaimed producer Velvet Code, “F.A.B.” blends bold hip-hop energy and a glittering dancefloor-ready beat. But at its core, the anthem is a deeply personal declaration from Océane, who wrote every lyric herself. “‘A fake ass bitch’ is someone who hides,” Océane explains. “F.A.B. is the opposite. It’s about owning every part of who you are, especially the parts people try to shame or silence.”

The idea for the track was born during a moment of self-doubt. After over two decades in drag, Océane found herself questioning her place in today’s drag scene. But a powerful reconnection with her Drag Race sisters at DragCon reignited her flame. “I was at my lowest,” she shares. “But they reminded me that I’m still a fabulous, powerful woman.”

She knew she had to create something special—and call in the fiercest to join her. “I sent them each a preview, and they were all in,” Océane recalls of her collab with Ra’Jah, Kween Kong, and Silky. “These queens brought exactly the energy the song needed.”

Beyond being a high-voltage club track, “F.A.B.” also amplifies Black excellence in drag and dance music. “It was important for me to spotlight Black queens from different Drag Race franchises,” Océane says. “We’re often passed over. I wanted to put us front and center.”

“F.A.B.” also kicks off Océane’s most thrilling era yet. Her debut album, Shameless, is set to drop this fall and will feature more high-profile Drag Race collaborations, including tracks with Vanity Milan, Lady Boom Boom, and Helena Poison.

Fans can catch Océane performing the anthem live at Village Fest in Toronto on June 20, with more tour dates and surprises to come. Until then, she urges everyone to blast the track loud: “Put this on when you need a reminder that you are THAT bitch. Strut through your city like it’s your runway.
