‘Boy Toys’ Come Out to Play at Capitol Pride
KINETIC Unleashes Four Massive Parties in Washington, DC

Pride weekend in the nation’s capital is about to get a lot more playful.
From June 18–21, KINETIC Presents and the Capital Pride Alliance will transform Washington, DC into an adults-only Toyland fantasy with KINETIC: Pride DC 2026, a four-night celebration featuring internationally acclaimed DJs, immersive production, larger-than-life performances, and a highly anticipated appearance by drag superstar Alaska Thunderfuck.
Embracing a colorful “Toyland” theme, this year’s festivities promise a weekend where fantasy, freedom, and community collide on some of the city’s biggest dance floors. Thousands of LGBTQ+ travelers and locals are expected to descend upon DC for what has become one of the premier Pride destinations in the country.
“We wanted to create the ultimate Toyland for grown-ups: part fantasy, part fever dream, and completely unforgettable,” says KINETIC co-founder Zach Renovates. “Think oversized fun, playful chaos, seductive energy, and thousands of people letting loose together on the biggest dance floors in DC. Pride should feel joyful, mischievous, and larger than life; and that’s exactly what we’re building.”
The weekend kicks off on Thursday, June 18, with LUST, an after-hours fantasy fueled by tribal rhythms, progressive house, and seductive late-night energy. International circuit music favorite DJ Dan Slater headlines the opening celebration, bringing the same electrifying sound that has made him a staple at major LGBTQ+ events around the globe.
On Friday night, the action intensifies with UNCUT XXL: Heavy Load, an unapologetically high-energy dance experience featuring DJs Alex Acosta, Felipe Lira, and Mitch Ferrino. With expansive play spaces and pounding beats designed to keep the crowd moving until dawn, the event is expected to be one of the weekend’s most talked-about gatherings.
But the centerpiece of Pride weekend arrives on Saturday with KINETIC: Toyland, the official main event. Featuring music from GSP and Matt Suave, the massive production will immerse attendees in a fantasy world filled with theatrical visuals, surprise performances, and a special appearance by Alaska Thunderfuck, the fan-favorite entertainer whose unique blend of music, comedy, and drag artistry has made her one of the most recognizable stars to emerge from reality television.

For many attendees, Alaska’s performance is reason enough to make the trip.
“Alaska is one of those performers who always brings something unexpected,” says Michael Turner, a 32-year-old Pride traveler from Philadelphia. “You never know if you’re going to laugh, dance, scream, or all three at once. Seeing her at a massive Pride event like this feels like the perfect way to celebrate.”
Atlanta resident David Morales agrees.
“I’ve seen Alaska perform before, but every show feels different,” he says. “She has this incredible ability to connect with an audience while still being completely outrageous. The minute I heard she was headlining Toyland, I booked my hotel.”
For Washington resident James Foster, the event represents more than a night out.
“There’s something special about seeing thousands of LGBTQ people together celebrating openly,” he says. “Add Alaska, incredible DJs, and the whole Toyland concept, and it feels like the kind of Pride weekend people will be talking about all year.”
KINETIC co-founder Jesus Quispe says creating those memorable experiences has always been central to the brand’s mission.

“KINETIC has always been about creating spaces where people can play, connect, and celebrate who they are without limits,” Quispe says. “This year, we’re turning the city into our own neon-colored toy chest. Every party has its own personality—from dark and delicious to euphoric and glitter-soaked—and we can’t wait for everyone to come out and play.”
The festivities conclude on Sunday with discoVERS, a disco-house-inspired finale featuring DJs Alexis Tucci and Clinton Foster. Designed as a euphoric sendoff to Pride weekend, the closing party offers one final opportunity for revelers to dance beneath the glow of Toyland before returning home.
A portion of proceeds from Kinetic Presents events benefit the Capital Pride Alliance.
