Psychology Behind Astrology

Nowadays when life and relationships are becoming more difficult to handle people are seeking help from astrologers and the person's future forecasting via the location of stars is becoming popular day by day. the high-stress level is the root cause of seeking help from astrologers. According to an 1892 study led by psychologist Graham Tyson,

"Those people who consult astrologers and use zodiac signs for their social, as well as relationships roles, is due to high-stress environment and they start ignoring astrological predictions under low-stress conditions".

About 70M people in America check their daily horoscope of which 25% American population think that the location of the stars has a serious impact on their daily life along with that 34% of people in America believe astrology has scientific value, but astrology is scientific or not?

The answer is NO. There is no science or evidence behind horoscopy and astrology!

Does Astrology Influence Your Daily Life Events?

YES! Astrology does influence daily life by emphasizing human expectations toward others. According to Okamura,

"If my horoscope is good my mindset will automatically be focused on good, but if my horoscope tells me about the bad day then I try my best to change my attitude towards a bad day". Okamura also said he read obituaries in his free time to make sure none of his friends died.

De Leon said. “It gives me comfort and a little caution of what could happen throughout that day.

Astrologers play with people's mindsets by telling personality descriptions that are specifically for them. still, in reality, these statements are actually the information that applies to everybody according to Burnum Effect.

Is Following Astrology A Sin?

Everyone has different perspectives regarding horoscopy . Not in every religion but astrology is forbidden (haram) in Islam because extraterrestrial influence presence is not plausible on humans. Any unknown matter cannot be attributed other than God (Allah) with knowledge.

Historical Aspects : Astronomic information distinct from astrology was only used for determining the year’s time, for determining solar and lunar calendars, and for compass bearing. In Quran; according to Surah Luqman Verse No 34:

“Lo Allah! With Him is knowledge of the hour. He sends down the rains and knows that which is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Lo Allah is Knower, Aware.”

Surah Al Ma’idah Verse No 3 “Forbidden also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision; all that is disobedience of Allah and sin”

Also, Muhammad (peace be upon him) said. “Whoever seeks knowledge from the stars is seeking one of the branches of witchcraft….”; therefore astrology for Muslims is inherently haram

There is another hadith for astrology believers “whoever approaches an oracle or fortune teller has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad(peace be upon him)”

So YES belief in astrology is a sin for Muslims.

Conclusion

So with all that said, no one has the power to tell you about who you truly are. Astrology can predict self-satisfaction and these predictions generally apply to everybody not only a specific person science also has rejected astrology for no evidence and explanatory powers to describe the effects of the universe on the human beings

If a person thinks that astrology may change their life or destiny, and problems can be solved then this is totally wrong, how an astrologer can change a person's life if he has not created it?

It is up to you to edit your life and make changes through good choices and some powerful decisions. Remember the Quote: "You Reap What You Sow".
