If you’re just getting familiar with CBD, then you might be overwhelmed by the wide number of different products out there. CBD comes in many forms, and you can find it in everything from cosmetics to creams, and even toothpaste nowadays. This makes things even more complicated for someone who’s getting started. Let’s take about the different types of CBD products you can find on the market, and who they cater to.

CBD Edibles

These are probably one of the most common types of CBD products on the market, and one of the most popular. CBD gummies are the CBD product most people think about when they think about edibles, but there are many more. You will now find them in dressing oils, beverages like tea, and even wine, chocolates, or salty treats.

One of the best things about CBD edibles is their slow release. They allow you to get a full-body effect that will last a long time. This makes them a great option for people who want long-term anxiety relief. This is also great for people who have difficulty sleeping at night.

The only issue with edibles is that they can take some time to kick in. This is why it’s often recommended that you use them with other products if you also need acute care.

CBD Oils and Tinctures

CBD oils and tinctures are also very popular. Some people may think that they’re interchangeable, but they’re different. CBD oils use some sort of oil as a carrier while tinctures use carriers like alcohol, for instance. This is very important to know if you were intending to give this to a child or if you’re sensitive to alcohol.

One of the greatest benefits of oils is their fast action. You can start feeling effects a few minutes after you took them. They’re also very convenient. Just drop some under your tongue and you’re good to go. These work great if you want to treat acute panic attacks. They also work perfectly with edibles if you want to combine long-term and fast action.

CBD Topicals

CBD topicals are not as widespread as oils and tinctures but should be. These allow you people to treat inflammation at the site without having to feel the whole-body effects of CBD. You can also find topical creams and oils in beauty products. It is often used in shampoos and conditions, but also skin and nail creams, among other things.

How to Choose the Right Product for Me?

It all depends on what you’re trying to get from the product. If you’re looking for help with anxiety, then some people might be fine with using edibles only. These will give you relief all through the day. Some may prefer to treat attacks as they come and don’t want to feel the effects for too long. In this case, tinctures might be the way.

If you’re going to be using topicals, we would also suggest you try one of these other products. You might find that you like the effect, and these could reduce the overall pain you experience daily.

If you’re scared that the effects are going to interfere with your activities, we suggest you start slow and work your way up. You’ll notice that CBD’s effects are very subtle and won’t be debilitating in smaller doses, so you could aim for a sweet spot that will give you all-day relief without slowing you down.

If you still were unsure about how CBD products worked and didn’t know which one to pick, we hope we were able to help. We suggest you try one or all of these and see how you like the effects before you stick to one option.
