Consuming too much cannabis can feel very uncomfortable. Whether it's from edibles, concentrate, or simply inhaling too much green, most marijuana users have been there before. The good news is, there are some easy tips and tricks to ease your high mind, come down quickly, and enjoy a comfortable level of intoxication. Here are 8 ways to feel better instantly.

1. Just Relax.

Any regular cannabis user will tell you that we've all been there. According to the DEA themselves, there have NEVER been fatal overdoses from marijuana, and all signs point to that there never will be. Feeling anxious or worried that you're too high will only make you feel worse. Instead, take deep breaths in through your nose, exhale slowly through your mouth, and know that this feeling will pass soon.

2. Consume CBD.

If you haven't heard of CBD, it's truly a game changer. CBD is an extract from the marijuana / hemp plant that has many medicinal benefits but no psychoactivity, which means it doesn't get you high. If you've consumed too much cannabis, CBD will actually help you even out your high and come back down to earth. For more info, check out this article for everything you need to know.

3. Smell some black peppercorns or lemon zest.

Pepper and lemon have strong terpenes that actually block your THC receptors and help you come down if you're too high. Chewing on peppercorns or sucking a lemon may also help but with slightly lesser effects.

4. Take ibuprofen.

Take the normal dose you would for a headache or body ache, and the ibuprofen will block some of your receptors just like the peppercorns and lemon.

5. Drink lots of water.

Especially water with lemon. Staying hydrated is key, and will help flush your body of toxins. The feeling of a cool sip of water can also help you relax.

6. Have a snack.

Having something in your stomach is also key. And, marijuana heightens your sense of taste, and can be an enjoyable part of your high experience. See what's in your fridge, or enlist a friend to help order Uber Eats.

7. Snooze it off.

Naps are proven to help ease stress and anxiety, plus it will help time feel like it's going faster. You'll wake up feeling like a whole new person.

8. Get active.

Working out might be the last thing you feel like doing, and we don't suggest running a marathon by any means. But if you're up for it, get moving by doing some stretches, taking a walk around the block, or even doing an art project. The endorphins will work wonders for your mind and some fresh air can't hurt, too.

Pretty soon, you'll be back down to earth with just a little brain fog left over from your high. To prevent an uncomfortable high next time, be sure to build up, taking small hits and waiting 5-10 min to feel the effects of smoking. If you're doing edibles, remember that they can take up to 5 hours to kick in, and always take less than you think you need.
