CBD oil has gained more and more popularity in recent years, which has also led to attention on the part of the government, which as a result has introduced corresponding production regulations that manufacturers must comply with. Nevertheless, there are differences in terms of quality, so it is all the more important to be able to recognize good quality. But how can this be done?

What is the source of the oil?

First of all, you should find out whether the oil was extracted from hemp or cannabis, as this affects the THC content. Since CBD oil is usually not about the THC content anyway, you are on the safe side with hemp. Depending on the legal regulation, it contains 0.2 to 0.3 percent THC. With such values, you can also be sure in terms of legality. At higher values, the oil was most likely extracted from cannabis and is also not allowed in countries where cannabis is prohibited.

Where does the hemp come from and how was the CBD extracted?

As with many other products, hemp depends on how it is grown. Companies that place little value on quality often choose hemp that was grown under poor conditions or that contains any unnecessary additives. Reputable manufacturers often include appropriate proof. Equally important is how the CBD was obtained or extracted. There is the preparation with food-grade ethanol and CO2 extraction, the latter being more expensive but also safer. Basically, the manufacturer should always specify how the CBD was extracted.

Pay attention to the manufacturer

Given the many manufacturers, it is definitely worth comparing CBD providers. If a manufacturer has many negative reviews on the relevant platforms, you should refrain from buying, especially if the bad reviews relate to the quality of the oil. However, poor customer service is also not exactly a testament to a reputable company from which you should buy your CBD oil.

Good CBD oil is expensive

It sounds brutal, but it's the truth - quality CBD oil can't be cheap! If someone offers it at a suspiciously low price, it means that it really is a "suspicious" price, and the product offered may not have much to do with a supplement that is beneficial to our health.

Therefore, when choosing CBD oil, you must not be guided primarily by its price. Quality first, promotions second.

Check the ingredients

As a general rule, the ingredients should be stated, anything else would be highly unserious. Otherwise, statements like "pure CBD oil" would not be verifiable at all. Furthermore, it is important that no unnecessary ingredients are included. Good oils usually contain few ingredients. If you want to judge how useful individual ingredients are, you can either research on the Internet, or also contact the manufacturer. Reputable manufacturers should be able to show relevant studies or reports that confirm the effect of the ingredients. If the manufacturer cannot provide answers, you should refrain from buying.

The color

Raw, meaning barely to not processed, oil has a very dark green color and does not taste good to many users, with some even reporting nausea. However, it also does not contain unnecessary additives.

If an oil has been filtered, it will have a dull golden color, which is due to the removal of the plant matter. In most cases, high-quality oil is a filtered oil.

Independent analysis is essential

Under no circumstances should you buy a product whose contents have not been tested by independent companies or laboratories. Otherwise, it may well be that the product contains pesticides or other impurities that one would not want to consume. Likewise, the process of extraction and bottling should be checked and, in the best case, certified, which also excludes impurities. If this information is not listed on the package or the website, you should ask again.
