So, Ever wanted to change your Image to a vector before converting it vector let us discuss.

What is vector illustrator?

So, what is different about vector images? Most logos are vector files you see them throughout the day.

So vector Illustrator is made up of points, lines, and curves that are based upon mathematical equations, rather than solid colored square pixels.

Vector tracing is a process of recreating an image within vector software, using an existing image as a guideline. Generally, a designer would do this if they needed a vector image file but only had a raster image file to work with. Vector essentially outlines the image and creates a vector version of it.

Let’s imagine you were working on a project for a client, creating a printed brochure. You ask the client to send their logo so you can include it in the design. The only logo they have on file is a JPEG and ask if you can work with it. You incorporate it in the design but when you increase the size to fit in the brochure, the logo becomes pixelated. The JPEG is too small and is creating a lossy result.

You can open up vector software like CorelDraw and trace the logo, recreating a vector version of it. As the logo is made up of bold lines and blocks of color, it’s a pretty straightforward process. You can then export the newly recreated logo as an EPS and incorporate that in your print design. You can scale it up and down as much as you like without losing quality.

And some other less famous tools are there as well, but the above three are the main tools used for it.

Now there are two types of Vector tracing.

First Auto Tracing, Second Manual Tracing.

As the name suggests the auto tracing is done by software automatically and the manual tracing is done by a professional graphics designer.

So there are advantages and disadvantages as well.

The auto-tracing helps save time but the quality is very poor even if you can do the auto-tracing on your own.

The manual tracing is slow and it can only be done by a graphics designer, So it will cost you but the quality will amaze you.

Now the easy way is there are a lot of websites online, you can find them just by typing the (Online Image to vector Converter). Here you can convert your normal image to a vector image, for free they offer paid plans as well but as I told you that all will be auto-tracing.
