A good dog food for your dog meets with a specific, high quality ingredient base that provides a high level of optimum nutrition for your pet. Dog food ingredients are selected based on their quality, and are human grade, meaning that they are also used for human consumption. Usually a greater price tag goes along with the purchase of premium dog food as the cost to find, evaluate and test a high quality ingredient can be more expensive, and because of this, some dog food manufacturers substitute quality for quantity and opt for the cheap alternative.

Rescuing abused horses is a mighty task. Each circumstance brings its’ own set of challenges. In sixteen years of helping the neglected, this particular event still sits at the forefront of my heart and mind, guiding me through many difficult days. I met her on Monday. I stood quietly and stared in complete disbelief. The pain and suffering inflicted upon this lovely mare are nearly indescribable. My heart sank. My girlfriend cried all night, and I simply could not ignore this mare. Daisy needed help, and I was determined to be the one. I joined forces with my friends Kendra and Frances. We scrambled to put together a decent bribe. The owner casually mentioned that he was keeping her alive just for the baby. Our determination steadied. We made a reasonable offer and paid half up front. It’s difficult doing business with the devil.

“I wish she cared about me that much,” said my then-husband to someone, contemptuously again, referring to the mornings before work. He didn’t seem to understand; he was the lucky one, not having to deal with a likely life-ending injury. My old horse had been in my life, through thick and thin, a lot longer than he had.
