His kin, Poppy (a soft bundle of brilliant daylight), Fix (a naughty tri-variety), Pepper (a smooth dark little guy with an energetic flicker in her eyes), and Runt (the pipsqueak of the litter with the greatest heart) were a tornado of energy, continually pursuing butterflies, grappling with fallen leaves, and chewing on disposed of toys.
