It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
The Day in the Life of Sooty the Cat
It was fairly safe to say that Sooty was a cat full of character. He spent his life defying the stereotype of a stubborn, hate-filled creature. Don't get me wrong, he was indeed a cat who often showed his disdain for myself and my family, yet he could never help himself from flouncing into our rooms demanding attention and love.

Things start slow and ramp up FAST the minute I leave my furry kids home alone. They hear the click of the lock the games, reign of cat terror, and operation “destroy Annie’s (dog) mental equilibrium” commence.

At first light, I roam the halls of the structure my owners call home. Early morning bells echo; that, for some strange reason, summon my owners out of bed. A loud ruckus is about to begin and I find a small place to hide. My owner and her midget franticly run the halls, while I hide in this corner, waiting for them to leave.

My Mum and Dad used to go out nearly every day and leave me home alone, but recently, Mum stopped going out. She came home early one day when Dad was already home and she started crying. Dad hugged her and I could hear her say...I've lost my Job! Job? Wonder what that is and how could she lose it? Thing is...now Mum stays at home and that means I don't get to do the fun things I did when they were both out.

I love my human, but she isn't the only lady in my life. By that I don’t mean having another female human. I am the neighborhood ladies man. The furry version of course. Right as my human lets me outside, I lay under the mating bush I have chosen, picking flowers with my mouth as a present for the next lady kitty that walks by. A new lady cat has come by the bush to stare at me as I lick my fur, deciding if they would like to get closer. The neighborhood black cat runs around trying to find food while spotting me under my bush. "Hello sir, have you seen any little rabbits around I can sink my teeth into?" she asks me. I wonder if she just stopped to ask in order to find a reason to talk to me.

“Bat cat to Fluff ball; Bat cat to Fluff ball, come in Fluff ball.” “I repeat: Bat cat to Fluff ball; Bat cat to Fluff ball. Do you read?”

I have a precious Maine Coon cat. She is a big cat with an even bigger personality. She isn’t affectionate with everyone, but if she loves you, you get unlimited kisses and snuggles from her. Her favorite foods are fresh chicken and cream cheese. She will lightly pace or jump between your legs and purr as she smells all the scents of a homemade meal being cooked. Nothing brings her out of hiding faster than the smell of some yummy treats.

My fiance and I are the proud parents of 5 rescue cats, who are also known as the “Bat Cats”. If you haven’t already guessed from their “band name” title, I have named them all after the characters of my all-time favorite movie, Batman. The 1989 version of course… old school here!

I decided to combine a few blog posts about my cats, past and present. THE RELUCTANT CAT WHISPERER Cats seem to always find a way into my life. I usually say I’m a dog person, but the cats keep coming. For some reason, they like me. If I take a walk around the neighborhood, at least a half dozen cats come running up to me, just knowing that I can’t resist giving them a scratch behind the ears. I have the same effect on dogs and babies, but it’s the cats that have me under some kind of control. I have accepted the fact that I have become a complex cat whisperer.

Our cat Pipi, is really sweet and loving. Yet, when it comes to her curiosity and mischievous nature, she has a hard time not getting into trouble. I think if we had a camera, throughout our entire house, this story might or could be the kind of trouble she would get into if left home to0 often...

Hindenburg is one of the best cats. She’s fiesty, loving, caring, and absolutely adorable. In a typical day she likes to sleep on her owners bed, the living room couch, the office chair, the fuzzy rug in the office, inside her cat tower, and on the window sill. She also likes to run into the kitchen screaming when anyone enters the kitchen, because that’s where the treats are. Her favorite toys are a blue and silver poof, an old shoelace, and a mouse made of hardened catnip. But if there’s one thing she loves most, it’s boxes. She hates the sound of plastic bags and the sounds of anyone sneezing. She seems like a normal indoor house cat, until she’s alone.
