It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
The Moment I First Saw Her
It was the year 2000, I can remember that sunny spring morning, as if it happened yesterday. I was all ready for school, just standing at the curb waiting for my school bus to arrive. It was about 7:15am, I recall that time because I was always able to watch 15 minutes of Saved By The Bell, before I needed to head outside, to catch the bus. As I was standing talking to some of the other kids, who took the same bus as me. I noticed my neighbour directly across the street, was holding this tiny little thing in her hand. I had no clue that cute little thing in my neighbour’s hand, would end up being my first pet kitten.

One moment I was sleeping peacefully, the next I heard mom say “Dieter, can you get the cat carrier?” “The big one or the small one?” he asked.

Dark SecretsPublished 2 years ago in PetlifeBelly
Like most cat parents, I live by The Monsters’ schedule. There’s five furry overlords that dictate my life; if I’m not up by 9AM, I have at least one, if not more, crawling all over me, screaming for their breakfasts. 5PM on the dot and they start crying about how neglected and starved they are until they get their second offering of Friskies.
Bob the cat
Growing up my parents always had dogs but they were their dogs. I never really had one to call my own, whichI felt was mine. Sure, I’d have fun with them and loved them, but they’d always sleep in my parent's room and follow them around.
Robert KegelPublished 2 years ago in PetlifeTalking About Cats (Sometimes They Hunt Me, Sometimes The Run From Me)
Introduction I have written a lot about cats, but really I know nothing about them, and as I don’t keep cats I don’t really need to know that much about them. The two things that put me off are my inherent selfishness and the fact that maintaining the health of your pet is so expensive these days with vet and insurance costs, but it is mainly the former that stops me.

To you my dearest, It’s been weeks, since we parted. Been together always, you went alone today to somewhere far away, whereas I stayed static at our starting point.

I try to remember who I was 16 years ago, fresh-faced and awkward. Still living at home and in my first year at University. Knowing no one in my course, I’d spend my breaks between classes going to the rescue pound around the corner.
How To Keep Your Cat Safe During Bad Weather
In November 2021, my missus purchased land in New Mexico. It sits in a valley surrounded by three mountain ranges. This valley is occasionally a wind tunnel. We then chose to start improving the lot during the spring, the windiest time of the year in most desert areas.
Shadow the Adventure CatPublished 2 years ago in PetlifeNoise Annoys
Introduction This is just a random piece on how noise can become incredibly intrusive in whatever we are doing. For some, this can cause serious issues in their lives; for others, they manage to cope. I manage to cope with it although when someone is playing loud Happy Techno on a bus that does become a little trying to say the least.

Our children were young when we were introduced to a kitten. A friend, a truck driver, had driven from a few states away before realizing that an orange tabby had somehow snuck into his trailer. When he saw us interact, he said through a teared eye, “This is what he needs. A family.”
