Pocket puppies are adorable and, because they are so small, much easier to carry, but at the same time they need much less space than regular dogs. Therefore, even if you have a small apartment, you can still have such a pet, without it suffering from lack of space (or completely invading your own). Pocket puppies are very cute, but that doesn't mean you don't have to take as much care of them!

Here are 7 breeds of pocket dogs that will melt your heart!

The most adorable pocket dogs

Affenpinscher

This is a German breed dating back to the 17th century, created to exterminate pests in kitchens, stables, and other environments around the house. Some trichinae weigh no more than 3–7 kg.

They are as small as they are stubborn, but they have a special affection for their masters. They are very active dogs and need a lot of outings in the park to be happy. So, even if you have a lot of space at home, we still recommend you go out with him in the park and leave him free as much as you can.

Brussels Griffon

These pocket dogs come from Brussels and are known for their affection for their owners. As in the example above, the Brussels Griffon breed was created to eliminate pests.

These pocket puppies weigh very little, between 4 and 5 kg. They may not fit in a coat pocket, but in a bag, they will surely find their place! In addition, this breed has a special feature: when something is wrong, these pocket dogs bark loudly.

Chihuahua

Of course, you know all about the trend of the Chihuahua in the fit bag, but that doesn't mean that an ordinary person can't enjoy this intelligent and active dog. It is a Mexican breed that weighs no more than 2–3 kg and is believed to have existed in the world for over 2000 years. Chihuahua is a very intelligent and affectionate dog, but he has a strong personality, so he needs a determined person to control him.

Japanese Chin

Initially, Chin was made to entertain the noble-blooded people of Japan, so it's no wonder it's so small. He weighs between 3.5 and 5 kg and is incredibly cheerful.

But we have to warn you: it has a cat behavior, which means that it will need a lot of space to feel at ease. It is the ideal pocket dog if you do not have much space, but you still have time to go out in the park, the place where the little quadruped loves to socialize.

Bichon malt

It may not even fit in a pocket, but this is one of the smallest dogs you can buy.

The bichon weighs between 1–4 kg and matches perfectly with any decor, being a very adaptable and loving dog.

It is suitable for very energetic people, especially since it cannot sit still, preferring to play continuously! However, it is a very intelligent breed and can be easily trained, so do not worry about it.

Butterfly

With butterfly-shaped ears and incredibly cute cheeks, Papillon dogs are among the most adorable pocket puppies you can choose as pets.

They are an ancient race and there have been paintings with them since the 15th century. They weigh between 4 and 5 kg and that is why they are perfect dogs for the apartment and very easy to transport when you have to travel long distances.

Pomeranian

These little lions have such strong personalities that you may never be able to educate them completely. However, you will not resist in any way their sweetness.

They weigh between 2 and 4 kg and are officially the most popular breed in the United States. They are convinced family members and are perfect for keeping children company. They have incredible energy and must be taken out running often, otherwise, they become apathetic.
