Sophisticated And Intelligent

I hired Riley a week before Christmas of 2012. Although we had our interview several miles from our home, in one of the worst winter storms ever, the interview was outstanding.

There were several waiting to be hired, five in total yet his size and personality were a given that he was meant for the job.

After the interview, he was ready and dressed in a Disney Blue Whinnie the Pooh Blanket. Caring him as the wind blew in my arms and a file of his credentials in my purse. We were ready to tackle the wind, blowing snow back to our home base for the beginning of his training.

Tackling The Training

In the first three months, Riley was taken outdoors for at least four very good walks. Wearing his shiny blue-collar and striking sparkling walking chain, he was dressed for success.

Although a slow and very difficult training program, Riley finally started to score very high marks on his efficiency, organization but his highest score was greeting the customers as they come through the door.

Rather than a doorbell ringing, Riley was very motivated to greet every individual with a sound that was much of Halo.

Although he continued to have many breaks and enjoyed the outdoors, he returned very quickly. Unlike myself his CEO and Director, he enjoyed a nice bowl size of ice water as I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee or tea. We loved a biscuit or two, mine was Chocolate Chip and Riley always had Bacon Training Treats.

Five Year Service Pin

After several hours working alongside me in my office and numerous papers to be filed. Riley became a real entrepreneur, it was time for his Five Year Service Award.

He was taken to his favourite spa in my hometown and was given a full groom. From a trim to a nice relaxing afternoon in the tub. He returned refreshed and ready to start another day at work.

He also was given a new diet that consists of herbal food, fit for a king.

Although his work can get distracted by the occasional female dogs going by our business, his loud bark for them to come and visit. He has even brought in a few customers.

In this past year, he has been my right-hand employee, since starting up with our new business Stampin Up. He has been noted to even bring me and others muffins to the meeting.

Creative and Unique

When he isn’t able to read the file, he tends to get right up to the table with new suggestions.

Overly excited to see a new series of dogs and cats paper and stamps come in. He is on board with me to personalize his cards with his own paw print.

A Leave Of Absence

Returning to work, after a medical leave, Riley drew a lot of attention to many who dropped by.

Not impressed with a cone around his neck and a large incision, he was starting to slow down and decided to work beside me curled up on my lap.

A celebration in his honour was given to him on his nine-year-old Birthday by my granddaughter and his niece. A beautiful cake was shared by him and his very close friend Abi.

Slowing down but always there for me, in the office, watching the television or just cuddles. Riley is truly the best friend, employee and fur baby ever. His qualifications also include lots of love and cuddles, being overly protected of his loved ones and being the best fur baby ever.

When he was hired and brought to our home, no one wanted him. He was what they called a runt. Who would ever think that out of all of the other possible employees he is the most outstanding one ever, overly qualified but loved more than you could ever imagine.

Thank you, Riley we love you buddy xoxo
