You’re doggone right, animals can and do save lives. We’ve seen it happen time and time and time and time again! The stories below highlight a few cases of animals who saved their owners' lives in the most unexpected ways.

Tank Saved 6-Year-Old From Dog Attack

Tank is his name, and last year, he saved a 6-year-old girl from a dog attack as they played in the front yard at his home. A dog walking with his owner suddenly ran directly toward Tank and the young girl.

Without hesitation, Tank jumped over the little girl onto the dog. The frightened girl ran toward her mom as Tank continued to assert his authority and run the dog out of the yard.

This Burglar Got Ruffed Up

Back in 2017, Oden played with his loving owners, including the baby of the house, on most days. Then, one day while his family were out of the house, a stranger broke into the place.

No one knows exactly what happened inside the house that August day after an individual broke into the Richmond, VA, home of Tristan Murran, but, from the looks of it, someone left in pain.

Murran arrived home to a bloody mess after Oden attacked the intruder.

Murran posted photos and a video showing blood spatter on his door, floor, and elsewhere in his home to his Facebook account.

Ruff Around and Find Out

An A&E show from 2021 called An Animal Saved My Life, showed his awesome clip of three dogs attacking a man who attempted to burglarize their home.

The man tiptoed to the back of the house where he spotted a small family dog. He tried his best to calm the dog when suddenly, another dog sicked the man! The small guard dog decided to help his buddy, and a third dog wanted a bite out of the man and helped too.

The man fled, but the larger of the three dogs chased the man back to the house by his pant leg. The man grabbed the dog by the ears, cousin the dog to let him go. The dog quickly grabbed him again and cornered the man where he stayed until the owner returned home and called the police.

Cat Saved Owner's Life After Calling 9-1-1

I’m a cat lover, making this story my personal favorite.

Cats earn their reputations as assholes honestly. They never hesitate to smack their brothers around when they feel ornery or puke in your shoe to add a little razzle-dazzle to their days.

Cats also make the best cuddlers, especially on those chilly days outside. Kitties even save lives on days when they feel extra purrfect.

In January 2006, officers responded to a 911 call from Gary Rosheisen’s home. No one said a word on the call, leading paramedics and police to investigate the call.

When paramedics arrived, they found Gary lying on the floor beside his bed. The disabled man had fallen out of his wheelchair.

His cat, Tommy, lay across the room on the floor by the telephone on Gary’s bedroom floor. No one is 100% sure that the cat called 911, but we are confident that the cat did it, as usual.

Pets, whether a dog, cat, or other type of furry being, truly are man's best friend.

As always, thanks so much for reading this story. I appreciate your time so very much. Feel free to leave your comments about this story and these awesome pets below.
