“My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person: He believed in me.”

“My father is more than just a man,

He's a guiding light, a helping hand.

He taught me right from wrong,

And helped me grow big and strong.

From the moment of my birth,

He's been my protector here on earth.

He held me close and kept me warm,

Kept me safe from any harm

My dad taught me how to ride a bike,

And how to swim and how to hike.

He showed me how to catch a ball,

And how to stand up when I fall.

My fathers there to wipe away my tears,

Keeping me calm when I was in fear.

He's always there to lend a hand,

Helped me build a castle in the sand.

My dad listens when I talk,

Drawing pictures on sidewalks with chalk

My father is kind and fair,

And shows compassion everywhere.

Lending an ear and guiding hand

Helping me find my way to stand

He's not perfect, but that's okay,

Because he loves me every day.

He's my father, my hero, my friend,

And I’ll love him till the very end.”

From the moment I entered this world, my father has played an instrumental role in shaping me into the person I am today. His love, guidance, and support have had a profound impact on every aspect of my life. Even in the face of challenges and setbacks, my father has shown me that with determination and resilience, I can overcome any obstacle.

In my eyes, my father was my protector, teacher, encourager, helper, friend and hero. I never once saw my father be negative or rude. Respect is something he valued. “Treat others how you wish to be treated”, was a motto my father used constantly.

As a young child, my father would go to work every single day. He always made sure my mother, brothers and myself had everything we needed or wanted. Never missing a day of work, never having any issues whatsoever. My father was the best provider for the family.

Every weekend, my father always took time to hang out with me. Board games, pretend play, hide and seek were just a few of the activities I enjoyed with my father. Looking back, those moments were more important than anything he ever bought for me. My father taught me that time is precious. Time is more valuable than any physical item. And I couldn’t agree more.

My fathers actions and words have instilled in me the values of integrity, empathy, and hard work. He made me see the meaning of love and family. My father means so much to me, if only he could see himself through my eyes. I hope one day, I can be as amazing as my father.

“A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.”-Billy Graham

Unfortunately, many children in today’s world are without a father. They’re without family in general. There’s a lot of people doing the thing that makes the child but sadly, they don’t want to take responsibility for their creation. It’s also sad to know that many people will miss out on one of the greatest blessings of all time..parenthood. Anybody can be a dad, but it takes somebody very special to be a father. Sometimes fathers aren’t always blood. Sometimes fathers are the people that step up and take the responsibility and raise a child as their own. It’s very rare to find one of these types of people. So if you ever get a chance to, be grateful.
