Why Do We Still Romanticize Surprise Proposals?
Every sitcom has that episode where the girlfriend wonders if her boyfriend is going to propose. And in parallel, the boyfriend is asking his friends whether she’s going to say yes. And then there’s a season finale where he gets down on one knee and she tears up and he puts a ring on her finger.
Aditi BalajiPublished 3 years ago in Marriage Loving someone can help you recover and become stronger
Recently I wrote an article titled “Loving Someone Is About You, Not Them”, focusing on how to find and appreciate your ability to feel and express love. How to use your love for someone. This article is about how you can recover from loving someone. When we can use our love for someone for our win / win advantage then we will never really be the victim of another heartbreak. Our heart breaks because we are hoping that someone will love us in the same way that we love him. Many people have not exploited their inner love, however, this does not mean that if a relationship does not go the way you like it, then you should be bitter and sour in the relationship. Realize that the person was not there for a long time. That person came into your life to reflect the deep love within you.
The Myth of Marriage
Derived from the rules of ancient beliefs, a woman is considered a spinster if she is not married by a certain age. That leaves us to think we must marry as soon as possible. So we tend to marry the first man that asks. As little girls, we are bred to believe in an unreal fantasy that one day we will marry, have children, live in a home with a white picket fence, and live happily ever after. As young as age ten or earlier, we plan the perfect wedding. We envision the white dress, the handsome groom on our side, the wedding party, and then the honeymoon. We foresee the ideal and invincible marriage. Most marriages are anything but…

It was windy enough that Dominic could see multiple sailboats and ships on the horizon. He wrapped his arm around Alex’s waist watching the waters churn as the ferry sluggishly crept around the many islands between Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia. Alex pointed out a couple of bald eagles roosting on the nearest island, her pleasure evident behind her sunglasses.

Henry van Dyke once said that "for those who love, time is eternity." The only way this can possibly be the case is if it refers to the moments of unrelenting embarrassment that, in the pursuit of love, stretch out for an eternity, making you wonder if they will ever end.

Igbashio SolomonPublished 3 years ago in MarriageNine lives to die
Honestly, I don't want to spend another $35.00 on this website to meet my future husband. I was married and didn't last or have the enchanted adventure as I expected. Poor little Cinderella.
My Second 1st date
The little black dress I was wearing was definitely a little tighter than I remembered. As I checked myself out in my full-length mirror, I cringed. Who was I kidding? I am far to old to date. Far to old to try to look sexy. This was insane. What in the hell was I thinking? To tight dress, to many wrinkles, to many scars. To many scars inside and out. This was foolish. A date? A date with a man I had loved 15 years ago. A man who had ghosted me and was now telling me that it was the biggest mistake of his life. A man who did not love me enough to stay, to fight, to even tell me it was over.

The most beautiful, sexy, compassionate, smart, funny woman that I had ever met, and my dream date, just danced, twirled to the bed, slipped away from my fingers, fell onto her backside, bounced back up off the bed, and then proceeded to throw up the exquisite dinner that she ate earlier.

Your schoolmate or office colleague is the girl of your dream and you are thinking of spending your entire life with her, then you just propose to her. Really, building a relationship with the person who is your love of life is not that fortune everyone gets. If you have that, then just propose to her and make your life as beautiful as you are opting for.

"Here I am again…alone.", I thought to myself as I opened my bottle of Merlot. Bright Cellars Merlot always seems to lift my spirits. I just couldn't believe he was late again. This man whom I'm so deeply in love with constantly keeps me waiting every time he goes anywhere. I don't know how much more I can take.
