Magical things always happen in the Fall! In nature, leaves turn beautiful painted colors and then fall to the ground to paint the landscape and there's a crispness in the air to compare to none other. Your Wedding can be just as beautiful outside as in.

Fall flowers are easier to find in the fall if you know where to look. You might seek the advice of a florist if you want to go flower picking and store them yourself. Sometimes, I have been to fall weddings where all of the flowers were dried wild flowers and they were exquisite to see all in one place. But, the Bride had family in the floral business that could help with that. Even dried, though, the colors were still as vibrant as ever.

Some florist will make arrangements for you out of fall flowers that you have brought to them if its for a special occasion like a Wedding, depending where you live. They will not all do this service but some will do it for a small fee. Nonetheless, most floral shops do have beautiful fall flowers and dried flowers as well for the most beautiful arrangements ever.

Don't over think the Wedding cake colors because there are so many choices and ideas that it can be quite overwhelming. Try to remember that less is better and what looks like a cake that might be too small feeds more than you think!

Try to refrain from the idea of using plastic flowers or silk, because they still have plastic stems. Sometimes people do use real flowers and it is quite elegant but, there are certain precautions you have to take plus, it's kind of expensive. But, you know, you only live once and if you have deep enough pockets you can surely go that route. But, simple and easy has always turned out elegant anyway you slice it!

Your table, whether it be the reception or rehearsal dinner or even, luncheon. Some have been known to have rehearsal Brunches!

Your colors on the table should be essential for the theme of the color. Meaning, use the colors you start with and stick with them. Providing you move the colors around and not have too many in a row.

Your centerpieces for your table do not have to be expensive. You can do a lot with very little. Think about that when you are having a Wedding with more than 100 guests. For the rehearsal dinner or luncheon there's not so much. Even if you are using real flowers or dried flowers there are simple things you can do that are quite elegant and expensive looking!

Fall Pumpkin Flower Arrangement

Your Bridal party, that would be bridesmaids, maid of honor, flower girl, etc, should be contrasting colors and not neccessarily basic like the green in this picture below. See how the flowers have some red and orange in the bouquet? You could use the deep red or wine color for the dresses or burnt orange, just not bright orange or red. But, still this dark forest green works nicely and has all the crispness and excitement of fall.

Outdoor Weddings in early fall can be quite magical and elegant. Don't be afraid to go a little rustic. Sometimes just the slightest touch can make a big difference between boring and non eventful and the nicest little flair. For example, hanging ornaments, lights, chimes, linen or tool, meaning fine netting that some vales are made of can be very enchanting.

You can even spice your Hor d'oeuvres up by adding some fall color to them too. Don't be really picky about the color just things like strawberries, mandarin oranges, because they are small and fit on a cracker better, cheddar cheese, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi, grapes, banana slices and a lot more. Just think of the colors, they do not have to match and it doesn't all have to be fruit. There are some luncheon meats that you can roll, thinly with maybe with green or black olive halves, quite fall like.

Just remember to use large crackers when you make them so to get more food comfortably on them so your guests have something to sink their teeth into while waiting for a main meal unless, you are having a buffet.

Marshmallows, cherries and raisins are great to add too in the making of snacks for your guests. Rather than put little flowers on the actual food it would be a good idea to doll up the table in between with fall like attributes like, small leaves, an acorn or two will lend a certain kind of charm, delightful! With all of those colors it will really lend a fairy tale feel to your lovely occasion. Below is an informative video for Vegetable Canapes' step by step.

The Bouquet!

Your Wedding bouquet doesn't have to be enormous to be beautiful. Even the simplist of bouquets can be quite elegant and stunning. Especially if just one color is coordinated nicely with everything. You would be amazed at the out come of the blend that it could bring. Nature has such wonderful colors in the Fall, it's like a painting that you can't stop looking at. A lot of the colors just cannot be copied or reproduced. So that's why you need to be vigilant in collecting what you need. Be careful, though, in some states some fall wild flowers or shrubs that grow wild in fields are illegal to pick so be sure to do your research firsthand.

Tulips are great fall flowers because they are around in the fall, for one thing, they are the symbol of fresh hopefullness, expectation, dreams of things to come. The colors are festive and excitingly bright and painted. Pictures do not do them justice. They are much more beautiful to the naked eye. But, be sure you do not break any laws by just going and clipping. Most tulips are in gardens of public places and peoples private gardens and since they are a bulbed flower they are rather expensive so try not to go break any laws. But, they are extraordinary in their own right.

Let's talk about fields and wild flowers. I know I have mentioned this before but, it is important that you know the field that you are going to be trapsing through. Always wear high top boots or rain boots when going into a field to look for your fall wild flowers. Some fields are home to different species of snakes. Just make sure that your boots go at least to your knees and tuck your jeans or pants inside them. Make sure you bring an ample container for all of your findings. Below I have found a really good video on drying your wild flowers that I think you will enjoy.

Now, let's talk gowns for just a minute. Fall bridal gowns do not have to be white. No, they can be off white, antique white or even taupe. I have been to fall weddings where the bride wore a red gown. Some might think this is a little extreme but, the whole wedding was engineered very nicely and everything was coordinated so well, it was beautiful.

Just be sure to think about what the weather might be doing the day of your wedding. If it is deep into fall you need to think about having sleeves on your gown especially if you are having it in an outside venue, it can get quite chilly as the day goes on and if you are having it at night as well.

If you choose to have an antique white gown then a good example of the dried flowers would be dried white roses or peach or orange dried roses, just a suggestion so that you get the idea. Roses, especially when you either buy them dried or fresh and then have them dried can get quite expensive.

It can be very lovely with any of the fall flowers of your choosing.

Your Bridal party is a reflection of your wishes and hopes and dreams for the future. This is your day and as all little girls I'm sure you have dreamed of this day for a long time. Planning it in your head, talking about it at slumber parties and now it's actually happening. You want it to be perfect. If it's in the fall there will be something magical about it. The crisp clean air the faint scent of someone burning a log or two in the fireplace, all of these smells, sounds and sights make fall weddings somewhat special and extraordinary.

The people in your Bridal party are just as excited as you are to be able to be at this glorious event. So that's why you want to coordinate all of your fall colors and flowers to enhance each other. Kind of like the picture that I have provided below.

Do you see in the picture how the slight brown auburn color in the bouquets accentuate the bridesmaids dresses ad the Bride also has the same little bit of color in her bouquet as well? Their shoes also cleverly match the wreath that the Bride is wearing on her head. Very stunning!

Down below are some examples of what you think you might want in a bridal gown. With everything going on in the world it is a stressful time and the planning of a wedding can add to the stress but, with a little careful planning and some wise council you will be able to put together some choices.

Some brides prefer to have their gowns made or if you're good at sewing and want to make your own, be sure to harbor some help. No matter how much of a wonderful seamstress you are I think you will find that making a bridal gown is a whole new level on it's own. So do get someone responsible to help you. By that, I mean someone who is very good at sewing and has possibly put a bridal gown together. It can be quite overwhelming.

If you are going to make your own be sure to make the style simple enough. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Sometimes less is more elegant. There is a video down below that might be helpful and congratulations!

Please keep in mind while watching this video that you do not have to have the fabric that they happen to be using. This is only going to be helpful if you are going to make your own gown. Like I stated earlier less is sometimes more elegant. You don't need to sew every bead on by hand and you would be surprised at what you can find that will enhance the looks of the fabrics and make your gown look like you spent thousands when you did not. You'll see what I mean when you watch the video. This woman puts the gown together piece by piece, very simple and elegant. But, remember this gown is only an example. Enjoy!

Whatever you decide I'm sure that your wedding will be the fairy tale wedding you have always dreamed about. Be sure you start planning early enough. After all it takes about six months to plan a wedding simply because certain things are not in season so you have to plan accordingly. But, when it is all said and done you will look back on your wedding day with the fondness of memories.
