The future of productivity

Hey friends.

Welcome to another edition of The Report! I’m especially excited about this edition because I’ll be talking about all the changes and exciting apps that are coming up in the productivity space. I also have a special announcement at the very end, so stay tuned!

Within the last few years, we’ve seen the rise and fall of many amazing tools that have permanently shaped the way we work and organize our lives. Notion is a great example of this. The app we know and love today was introduced in 2018 and has been making waves in the way that people, ranging from creators to entrepreneurs, organize their lives and their businesses.

There are so many more apps that are coming out soon that will have an equal or bigger impact in our lives. For now, here’s a small list of the ones I’m most excited about:

1. Anytype

Anytype is an amazing Notion alternative that solves Notions’ current problems - no offline mode and the privacy issues. This tool aims to be your operating system for life and offers promising benefits like offline mode (through local storage), no lag or load times, unlimited storage and completely free to use. A desktop app, along with an Android and iOS app is planned to launch soon.

2. Superlist

Superlist is a task management app tool that was recently previewed at the Google I/O conference. It is a beautifully designed tool that promises collaboration, puts privacy at the forefront and emphasizes on working the way you do. It’s being built by the team that previously built Wunderlist.

3. Spacedrive

Spacedrive is an upcoming file management application that allows you to keep track of your files across multiple devices, drives and clouds using one application. It is ideal for independent creatives, creators and business owners. This app’s true strength comes from its ability to work across platforms.

4. Beam

Beam is a browser that comes with an in-built note taking system that supports markdown! It connects your notes and your browsing together so that your notes are always in context. If you’re someone that enjoys taking notes on the go with your browsing, then this is the perfect app for you. For writers, this browser also gathers all your thoughts and notes and even allows you to publish them.

5. Amie

Amie is one of my favorite applications on this list! While I do not have access to this app yet, I excited to check it out. Amie is a joyful calendar app that helps you manage and schedule you tasks, host events and meetings and even track what you listened to on Spotify. It even has some great CRM features that help you stay connected to those you love and the UI is a breath of fresh air. The tool is available on web and iOS, with an Android app also in the works.

A special announcement

I’ve opened up a small digital storefront to share some printables, templates and wallpapers (coming soon!) for all of you! It would mean the world to me if you’d consider checking it out here. Use code LAUNCH2022 for a 22% discount, valid until this Wednesday!

I’ve enjoyed writing The Report and I hope you like reading it too! If you have any questions or feedback, respond to this email and let’s chat. I’d love to hear your thoughts. My inbox is always open 💜.

These all look super interesting! I'll definitely be testing them all out upon release. I mostly use Notion and Asana but love trying out new productivity tools. Thanks for the updates :)
