There are many things that can go wrong when you're on your period. From having aright away because of cramps, to having streaks every month like December or July which usually mean something more serious illness like anemia or pregnancy - - but whatever the case may be don't ignore these warning signs.

1. Pregnancy

Pregnant women have specific needs for their bodies and those needs change over time. You may want to eat different foods due to changing hormones levels, sleep patterns, and even mood swings. These changes can cause period irregularities that need attention, but they can go unnoticed if left untreated. Here are some symptoms of pregnancy that require your attention.

2. Fatigue

Fatigue can occur at any time during pregnancy, but especially during the first trimester. The fatigue associated with pregnancy is normal, caused by hormonal fluctuations throughout pregnancy. However, the fatigue could become severe and last longer than usual. Your doctor can help determine if you're experiencing pregnancy-related fatigue through a physical examination.

3. Bloating

During the second trimester of pregnancy, pregnant women often experience bloating. The extra fluids in the body make the woman feel bloated and uncomfortable. If you’re feeling swollen during pregnancy, consult your doctor about what may be causing the swelling. He/she can offer tips on how to relieve the pain and discomfort.

4. Headaches

A headache is a common symptom of pregnancy, and it's likely you've had them before. However, headaches during pregnancy can be the result of a number of things. Try talking to your doctor or midwife for advice. If your pregnancy seems unusually difficult, consult your physician or nurse practitioner for further guidance.

5. Leg cramps

Leg cramps are painful contractions of muscles in the lower legs. They are fairly common during pregnancy, though the severity can vary. Leg cramps may be caused by dehydration or low blood pressure. Consult your physician if leg cramping persists beyond three days or does not dissipate.

6. Braxton Hicks contractions

Braxton Hicks contractions are small contractions that happen around the end of each month during the early stage of pregnancy. They are normal and usually begin gradually. However, you may notice them earlier or later than expected. Braxton Hicks contraction can affect your daily routine. If these contractions start interfering with your daily activities, contact your doctor to discuss options.

7. Nausea

Nausea is the feeling of sickness that comes with the stomach region. It is a natural reaction to being pregnant and is usually mild and short-lived. When nausea starts interfering with your daily routines, contact your doctor to find out what you can do to get rid of it.
